Fab Faces: Ability Works

HOME

This week's Fab Faces introduces our lovely bb members to all of the hard working faces who pack our bellaboxes each and every month, ready to be sent out around Australia for you to love and enjoy!

We all work hard at bbHQ to give our members the latest news, tips and tricks from the beauty world and to source and hand pick amazing products for our members to try. But some of the most, hard working people who allow us to deliver our boxes to you, are the employees of Ability Works Australia in Kew.

Ability Works offers a range of employment opportunities for people with disabilities. Training and support is provided to assist all workers to maximise their potential, with their work being of a high quality and commercially valued. Ability Works currently employs over 120 workers with disabilities and employees have the opportunity to work in a number of diverse areas, enhancing their skills through targeted on and off the job training. The name “Ability Works Australia” embraces the message that underpins their whole existence.

Some of the Ability Works employees who help pack our bellaboxes every month: Joseph, Kevin, Frances, Grant, Greg, Mark and Scott

Ability Works has been working with bellabox since our second box, sent out to members in November last year. In the beginning, Sarah enlisted her mum and cousin to pack 100 sample boxes with her - and the process ended up taking almost a week! Since then, the number of bellaboxes we send out each month has grown phenomenally and since Ability Works have come on board, the packing process has been far more efficient, meaning that our beloved members get their boxes faster.

During box packing time, it is all hands on deck, as employees carefully pack each and every product into every single box (it is a shame that the products can’t stay as immaculately placed once the boxes find themselves in the back of the post truck during shipping!)

A mixture of men and women work to pack our bellaboxes. Some of the guys might not know exactly what a product is for but they still enjoying packing them all perfectly for our loyal members!

We are glad to work with Ability Works to provide support to individuals based on their ability and motivation to work. To find out more about Ability Works, visit their website www.abilityworks.com.au or click this link to have a look at the Ability Works Australia Youtube video. Ability Works also has a facebook page, which you can visit by clicking here.

Are you all excited to receive your bellabox this month? If you haven't signed up yet, it is not too late! Just click here to sign up and you can still be sent our May bellabox! - Lauren
