Fab Faces: Emma Watson. Wonderfully chic.
HOMEThis week’s fab faces ponders the gorgeous Emma Watson’s transformative rise from tween magician Hermione to the now poised and elegant fashion muse she has become. Read on for all things Emma…
It is hard to believe that the first Harry Potter film was released in 2001 – that’s 11 years ago! So really it is no wonder that the stunning Emma, who graced the screen as the frizzy haired and super intelligent sidekick to Harry P, has blossomed during that time - she was growing up! Yet unlike many (myself included) Emma has made the transition from her teens to twenties in a very stylish manner. We bet there won’t be too many fashion moments she will look back on and cringe about (again, unlike myself!)
Instead, Emma has proved that her style radar is top notch, and has the credentials to prove it. In 2009 Emma became the face of Burberry’s Autumn/Winter campaign and appeared for the British design house again in their Spring/Summer campaign. Last year Emma was awarded the Style Icon award from British Elle magazine, an award that has previously been won by fashion elite such as Mary-Kate and Ashley Olson, Stella McCartney, and Helena Christensen.
Last year, Emma signed on as the face of Lancôme and fronted their Trésor Midnight Rose scent. Her latest turn for the team at Lancôme saw her promoting the new Rogue In Love line of lipsticks and nail polishes in rosy hues. And just to make Emma look even better – like she needed it! - Mario Testino lent his über fashionable photographer edge to the shoot. Some girls have all the luck!
Also keeping Emma on her toes is her dedication to her studies at Brown University in the US and Oxford in the UK, as well as her primary love of acting. Appearing in a supporting role in the much-hyped ‘My Week With Marilyn’, Emma is set to appear in the Stephen Chbosky film ‘The Perks of Being a Wallflower’ later this year, as well as the highly anticipated ‘The Bling Ring’, currently being filmed in the US and directed by Sophia Coppola. The film is based on the infamous Hollywood burglaries of stars such as Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom, Rachel Bilson, Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton, where a group of young men and women targeted the star’s homes for their possessions- mainly their fashion! We can’t wait to see Emma transformed into a rebel to play one of the robbers – and quite frankly wouldn’t mind raiding Emma’s home for her clothes and accessories either! Whilst there we’d be sure to take a peak into her beauty cupboard too!

But for now we’ll have to make do with guessing what products Emma would be a fan of (sigh!) Here are our top picks for the lovely Emma…
To keep her lovely skin glowing and clear, we bet Emma uses a slew of brightening products. Our current favorite here at bbHQ is the Comvita range. Containing olive leaf extract, which has five times more antioxidant activity than vitamin C, the Comvita Brightening Facial Exfoliant lightly foams to gently remove dead skin cells and maintains the skin's radiance.
Since Emma chopped her locks off, she really started to get noticed. A drastic pixie cut is very cute but can be annoying whilst at the gym or playing sports as it is harder to keep your hair off your face. We recommend Twistband Headbands, which comes in lots of cute colours and are sold as a pack of three - perfect for keeping pesky fringes back, whether you have short or long locks!
Finally we think Emma would be crazy not to use a great moisturing lip balm considering she is travelling often (drying aeroplane cabins!) and can't afford to have flakey lips whilst she is plugging her new lippies! The Yes to Carrots C Me Smile Lip Butter keeps lips smooth and soft and best of all is made up of 95% organic product.
And there you have it! What do you think Emma would house in her beauty collection (apart from the very best Lancome has to offer?) Are you excited to see 'The Bling Ring'? Let us know below! - Lauren
