Fab Faces: Fendi Face, Abbey Lee Kershaw

HOME

This week we take a peek into the beauty style of Aussie model Abbey Lee Kershaw and see what makeup tricks she has under her hat... She is also one of the faces of this month's box product Fan Di Fendi (we are obsessed!) Read on for the low down on Abbey Lee...

We chose Melbournite Abbey Lee to feature as this week's Fab Face as she is a true international citizen, now living in New York and travelling worldwide for major fashion shoots and shows - we bet Abbey Lee knows a thing or two about dressing for chilly winters after living in these two cities!

Her big break came after winning the 2004 Girlfriend Model search which motivated the natural beauty to move to Sydney the following year where she was scouted by Aussie model/talent brokers Chic Management. Fast forward a few short years and Kershaw was signed to Next Management in New York, debuting her unique rock-ready yet girlish-tomboy innocent look at New York Fashion Week in 2008 where she walked for a total of 29 shows! Yeah girl!

Now Abbey Lee's face is synonymous with Gucci's popular Flora fragrance and most recently Fendi's Fan Di Fendi (our current fragrance obsession here at bb!) She has also appeared in exclusive Chanel campaigns and has walked twice in the renowned Victoria's Secret Show in Miami. Us? Jealous? Well, maybe a lot little bit!

Abbey Lee likes her beauty the same as her fashion - a feminine yet raw, with a definite rock edge. As a model, Abbey Lee has obviously had a chance to rock plenty of different trends. Here are our top two Abbey Lee looks that are totally different - but that we love equally - and how to emulate them this winter!

We LOVE this pink pout on Abbey. It is the perfect colour to wear to brighten up your day and is especially good to break up an all black winter outfit. We can't go past a real favourite here at bb right now - the Savoir Faire Mini Lipstick in Show Girl. This tiny bullet of intense colour is really similar to Abbey's shade above and is surprisingly brightening and complementary to many different skintones. Of course, having an even skintone to begin with always helps! To set your base in good stead, we recommend cleansing with a gentle cleanser like Be in Awe's Vimala Cleanser and moisturising with a dense and nourishing cream like benefit's Total Moisture Facial Cream. Then apply a hard working primer, such as benefit's POREfessional Pro Balm or Napoleon Perdis Autopilot Pre-Foundation Primer before applying your foundation. Give it a few minutes to sink into skin before you apply your makeup and you should notice a considerable difference to how smooth and even your skin looks!

Abbey Lee also looks amazing with a more toned down look. We love her bronzed and dewy skin, pale lips and black lined eyes combo. To give your skin a little glow, with a light yet even coverage, we recommend Erborian BB Créme au Ginseng which contains a moisturiser, sun protection and foundation in one! To get that dewy look on top, add a small amount of liquid illuminator to your BB créme and mix together before applying to your face. Our top pick? MeMeMe's Beat the Blues Illuminator which is lovely and light and will add a subtle amount of shimmer to your base. For the dewiest of dewy skin? A spray of calming Kosmea Hydrating Rosewater Mist on top will get you looking like Abbey Lee in no time! Add a swipe of Glamorous Minerals Ultra Gloss Lip Polish Tube in Almond Bliss for a natural lip colour and line your eyes with a black liner that is kind to eyes like Eye of Horus Smokey Eye Pencil and you are done! Abbey Lee would be proud!

Which look is your fave ladies? Do you love Abbey Lee too? Have you tried Fan di Fendi from your bellabox this month? Tell us what you thought! - Lauren
