The weekly wrap up from The Beauty Desk
HOMESam spills this week's bb goss...
Wanted!
Recently Crayola released a range of mini nail varnishes inspired by their most popular crayon colours and packaged in their iconic box. So cute! While doing some research, I found they also have scented nail polishes too. Gimme!
Landed!
Some wonderful goodies have landed on my desk this past week all for our July box. Can you guess the theme from the hints we have been giving you?
You, Me & Everybody is a cute brand that has recently launched, you might have seen their ads in a magazine. Sarah keeps calling it You, Me and Dupree! They sent us a selection of their products to try and I am in love with their Sumptuous Skin Mousse. It’s light, fluffy and absorbs right into your skin without leaving it feeling sticky. We all agreed that this was the perfect body moisturiser to use before donning your jeans or tights as it wouldn’t cause them to stick to your legs.
e.l.f. Cosmetics is one of those cult brands you see in American beauty magazines like Allure. I’m a little bit of a mag hag - I simply must buy every magazine in the supermarket, including the trashy ones - but Allure is one of my faves; it’s all about beauty! Anyway, e.l.f, which stands for Eyes, Lips and Face, has now hit Australia and we heart their products big time! Fun and inexpensive, they have trend and classic colours covered as well as amazingly priced palettes. I like their e.l.f Studio Eye Transformer, four opalescent shades that you can wear alone or use to transform your regular eye shadows. We were sent a range of their Essentials Makeup Brushes to try, and I have to say, I’m pretty amazed at the quality, especially considering how inexpensive they are. You can buy the whole set for under $35! Now that is a beauty steal!
Last week, you all lusted after my Laduree purchases, but did you know they also make candle and room sprays? They are just divine and so beautifully packaged. Light one of their candles that smells like brioche and transport yourself to their sumptuous Parisian tea room. I have the room spray in Mimosa and the candle in Rice Powder. Delicious!
Did you love Crayola as a kid? How about these cute polishes? And what brushes do you most use to achieve your chosen beauty looks? Let us know!
