With just a few days left until we say goodbye to autumn and hello to winter, the bellabox team have decided we’re going to introduce some summer vibes to winter 2014!
While we’re definitely enjoying the chance to bring out our winter wardrobes, it’s pretty easy to find yourself feeling a little down on a grey winter day. That’s why we’re going to focus on having a happy, fun winter filled with bright colours.
Interested in bringing summer to those cold days? This is how we’ll be doing it!
Bright Nails
Coloured nails are one of the best ways to brighten your mood. Every time you look at them you’ll smile. Why not try a really summery colour like Colour Theory Nail Polish in Tangerine Dream.
Bronzer
You don’t want to go too crazy with the bronzer, but if you love a tanned look there’s no reason to say goodbye to it. We’ll be sweeping some Face Of Australia Mineral Therapy Pearls in Bronze over our T-Zone so we look like we’ve still getting a touch of sun on our faces. No need to go overboard here, as a little is enough for a natural glow.
Blush
Rosy cheeks have long been considered a sign of health. If you think your skin is looking a little dull this winter, try adding some blush to your face. We love the Face Of Australia Face Palette in Rose. You can blend different variations of the colours, or use the lightest shade as a highlighter.
Colourful Eyes
Do you usually stick to blacks, greys and neutral shimmery tones on your eyes? Winter is the time to try some colour on your eyes! You can use a coloured eyeshadow for a splash of colour, or get really daring and try a green or blue cat eye! We love these colourful Max Factor Excess Intensity Eyeliners.
Exercise
Keeping active will help you stay healthy, and as Michelle Bridges always says, summer bodies are made in winter. Depending on where you are in Australia you might be able to exercise outside on the beach or in a park all year round, which will definitely help keep your summer vibes going. If it’s too cold where you are to exercise outside, now is the time to try out one of those yoga, pilates or spin classes you’ve always wanted to do.
Seeing Friends
If you’re the type of person who hibernates in winter, why not try to switch things up this year? Try and get yourself out of the house for a fun activity at least once every weekend, and plan a dinner, lunch or drinks with your friends every few weeks. The more sociable you are, the more you’ll beat the winter blues.
