11 Ways to Become a Morning Person

Struggle to leap out of bed every morning? Arrive at work with a coffee stain on your blouse and a general air of disarray? It needn’t be so, bellas! Here are 11 sure-fire ways to become a smug Morning Person.

 

1. Let there be light!

It’s tempting to sleep in a pitch black cocoon, but it’s easier for the body to perk up if it’s exposed to natural light in the AM. Either leave the blinds open a little overnight, or make sure you let in the sunshine the moment your alarm goes off.

 

2. Wake up to your favourite song

Speaking of alarms, you’ll dread yours a whole lot less if it belts out your favourite power tune! If you’re using your phone, make sure you place it across the room, not next to the bed. That way you’ll have to physically get up to switch it off, and won’t fall into the snooze button trap.

 

3. Be a creature of habit

This means going to bed and waking up at the same time each day. Trust us, it’ll make this Morning Person business a whole heap easier!

 

4. Become a weather girl

Take the stress out of the morning wardrobe rummage by checking the weather the night before and laying out your outfit, even down to the accessories. It’ll save time and ensure you’ll always rock up to work in matching socks.  

 

5. Have some ‘me time’ over a cuppa

Any super successful person will tell you the importance of their morning rituals: the little slice of ‘me time’ they carve out to plan their day. 11. Try a new lipstick!
