15 minutes of fame... with Ann Hancock of U Skin Solutions

Thank you for speaking with us today Ann! First off, could you please tell us a bit more about the ethos behind U Skin Solutions?    

Creating a brand that uses many Australian grown ingredients is very important to me. It’s something that I am very passionate about, and also to assist with keeping jobs in Australia. I've worked with a team of professionals for the past year and a half to create what I believe to be a wonderful skin care range and I hope that you all feel the same way!

And how did U Skin Solutions come to be? What inspired you to found the brand?

I am an extremely passionate person who loves to help others! I love to help women and men of all ages to feel good about their skin. I wanted to create a range that is easy to use and gets results! I am very proud of what we have achieved. I had a dream and I had the courage to follow that dream! I encourage anyone to follow your dream as you never know where it will lead you…

Here at bb, we can’t get enough of natural-based skincare products and our members love them too! We also love the inclusion of the ingredients glossary on your site. How important is the use of natural ingredients in your products? And what sets U Skin Solutions apart from other brands on the market?

The use of natural ingredients is essential in assisting with healthy looking skin, we have used many Australian grown ingredients and essential oils. Also we include native botanicals, like Kakadu Plum, which is high in vitamin C.

If you had to choose, what is the one, star U Skin Solutions product you are most excited about?

Our Super Serum; it's our Multi Complex Active Face Serum, and contains many age defying ingredients. I personally have seen customers' before and after photos and the results are truly amazing!

And which is your personal favourite?

Our Green Coffee Seed and Raspberry Nourishing Body Lotion.

If you could sum up U Skin Solutions in a few words, what would they be?

Honest, great quality, customer service, great products, native Australian, family owned and made, easy to use, great smelling, vegan friendly, exquisite.

Lastly, what’s on the horizon for 2013 and beyond?

We are about to start working with some students from Flinders University here in Adelaide. They'll be learning the behind the scenes of how a small business works, which will also bring more awareness to our brand! Also, we are going to begin working with a group of ladies called Soul Divas, who work with teenage girls doing a full day of inspirational things to lift their self worth. We'll be donating samples of our teen range for the the Soul Divas for each program that they run in 2013.
