What’s on your nails this winter? Need a little inspiration? Here are the hottest hues for winter 2014!
This year is all about classic colours, dark tones and keeping your nails looking neat and tidy. And nail art is hotter than ever, so this is definitely the time to experiment with multiple colours or designs.
Here are five shades that will be adorning our nails this season.
Nude
Keep it simple with a nude nail. This is a strong look year round, but this winter it is especially popular. And it won’t clash with your outfit, which is always a plus! Try Jacqueline Burchell’s Nail Lacquer in Skin Deep.
Grey
Match the cloudy winter sky with a classic grey. We love Kester Black’s Silverbirch. Perfect for day or night, this is definitely a colour that can be worn for any occasion.
Black
We are giving you permission to paint your nails black. In fact this is a must! It just feels right this winter. Try Butter London’s Union Black. A cult brand, and the perfect colour.
Dark Red
Save your brights for summer, and focus on dark shades with depth. Red is a classic nail tone, so go maroon with Jacqueline Burchell’s Sun In Your Eyes lacquer.
Navy Blue
Keeping on that dark theme, you cannot go past a navy blue. Butter London is of course one of our favourites at bb, and their Royal Navy has made blue a nail shade we can't turn down.
