Everyone loves a beauty hack – and we’ve got seven of the easiest right here.
All of these beauty hacks involve things you’ve already got in your home. There are no special skills or expensive products. Just clean, simple beauty hacks to make your life a little bit easier.
Try these out and let us know how you go with them!
1. Reduce Puffy Eyebags With Teabags
You probably remember this one from old movies! If you’ve got puffy eyes just hold two wet teabags under your eyes for a few minutes. The caffeine will help to energise your skin and brighten up the eye region.
2. Dry Your Hair With A T-Shirt
If frizzy hair is a daily occurrence for you then we’ve got a solution. Try drying your hair with an old cotton t-shirt instead of a towel. The smoother surface of the t-shirt will help keep your hair under control. Pull the tshirt over your head as though you’re going to put it on. Then hold your head upside down so that the tshirt covers your wet hair. Twist the tshirt up into a turban and leave it to dry.
3. Create A Smokey eye With Your Eye Pencil
Want to create a simple smokey eye in less than ten seconds? Draw a few criss-crosses across your eye with a pencil liner. They don’t need to be even, because they’re not going to be seen by anyone. Smudge the lines with your finger for a long lasting look with attitude. Try this out with the Colour Theory Eye Pencil that was in your March bellabox!
4. DIY Coffee Scrub
Create your own coffee scrub with leftover coffee grounds, brown sugar and coconut oil – but olive oil will also work if you’re desperate! Just mix 2 parts coffee, 2 parts coconut oil and 1 part sugar in a container, then jump in the shower and scrub away. You’ll be left with soft and smooth skin in an instant.
5. Natural Yoghurt As A Face mask
Revive your skin with a quick at home face mask! Natural yoghurt will brighten your skin and leave it feeling soft. Just spread a teaspoon of yoghurt across your face and leave it for ten minutes before rinsing.
6. Tame Flyaways With Your Toothbrush
The tiny bristles of a toothbrush are fantastic for keeping flyaway hairs in check. Just comb your hair with the toothbrush before you leave the house. You can also use a toothbrush to tame your eyebrows. We’d recommend keeping a spare toothbrush for this one!
7. DIY Lip Scrub
Are dry, flakey lips the bane of your existence? Mix a teaspoon of coconut oil and teaspoon of raw sugar to create your own lip scrub. Rub this grainy mixture across your lips with your finger and then rinse off for super soft lips. Your lipstick will go on better than ever!
