We’re celebrating International Women’s Day by looking at two Australian skincare stars who have been kicking goals around the world. Twin sisters Kim and Zoe Roebuck are the founders of Dr Roebuck’s, a family run skincare company that you should be keeping an eye on.
The company’s origins can actually be traced back thirty years to Kim and Zoe’s physician parents. They wanted to create a skincare product that was safe to use on their children’s sensitive skin. They built on an old English dermatological formula and added their own clinical and practical knowledge to create a cream that could be used to hydrate problem skin.
Fast forward several decades and Kim and Zoe decided to take that original recipe and turn Dr Roebuck’s into the skincare brand we know and love today. The products are all still based on Dr Roebuck’s original PURE formula using all natural ingredients such asRosehip Oil, Vitamin E Oil, Macadamia Oil and beeswax, although the range has definitely expanded!
“Our whole brand philosophy is ‘formulated skincare for all things precious,’” Zoe recently told news.com.au.
“If you have precious skin you need to be conscious of looking after yourself from the inside and out, because you cannot maintain or repair sensitive or reactive skin without thinking about your body as a whole- and this includes, mind, body and soul. What you eat and physical or mental stress can be a key factor in why you have reactive skin, so we aim to educate people on maintaining a holistic approach to their wellbeing and in turn helping them maintain healthy and glowing skin.”
Dr Roebuck’s is now stocked in Priceline, and they are rapidly expanding overseas. They are already the number one natural skincare brand in Canada with their products sold at Murale and select Shopper’s Drug Mart stores. A huge number of Australian skincare brands have conquered the world in the past few years, and we have a feeling that Dr Roebuck’s is not far behind them.
All Dr Roebuck’s products are BPA and Paraben free, and are ideal to use on sensitive skin as they contain only minimal ingredients. There are no unnecessary additives or fillers, just simple ingredients that will hydrate, moisturise and nourish the skin. To find out more about Dr Roebuck’s visit drroebucks.com.au.
