It’s heeeeere, bellas! The Emmys has returned for another star-studded year and we’ve been glued to the ruby carpet all morning. Here are the looks that have made us ooh and aah. Who was your favourite? Tell us in the comments.
The usual sexy bomb schtick from Emily Ratajkowski. She’s dynamite as always in Zac Posen with hair and makeup to match.
The petite blonde does full-blown gown to perfection in heavenly Zuhair Murad. Kinda makes you wish for a spring-time garden wedding! Loving the tousled, centre-parted locks, too.
A siren in Armani, Portia slays in this super sexy, slinky number with a precarious cut-out. The side swept locks and minimal makeup and accessories are the perfect foil – a dress this good doesn’t need any distractions.
Comedic cutie Ellie is a sunshiney vision in this yellow Jenny Packham. So so gorgeous against her ivory complexion and auburn lob. Bonus points for the gold bling and bold red lip.
Nudes on the red carpet can be a bit snoreville. But when you have a figure like Emilia’s, not to mention that peaches and cream skin, a colourless sheath looks mesmerising. Especially when it’s flawlessly tailored care of Atelier Versace. The smoky eye and dewy makeup is perfection, obviously.
This Zac Posen is the kind of dress girls dream about. Lucky Olivia looks like a fairytale princess! Simple metallic accessories and drop pearl earrings tie it all together. Bravo!
Another glamazon to get the yellow memo (definitely the colour of the night), Minnie Driver looked scrumptious in sculptural Versace. Not 100% sold on the shoes, but love the dark, poker-straight ‘do.
Let’s face it, Priyanka is so drop dead she could wear a sack and still be the centre of attention. But she always brings the old-school glam, and for that we adore her. She’s an utter bombshell in ruby Jason Wu. Her red lip, groomed brow and glossy pony is a classic beauty at its best.
We don’t really 100% understand this outfit. But that doesn’t mean we don’t dig it. Props to Laura for being an original.
Yes Mandy, yesss! Never has an egg yolk looked so delicious. Moore is an ethereal vision in scrummy, tiered Prabal Gurung. So, so gorge with her wavy chocolate mane.
Busy but in a good way, we love this sparkly, fluttery midnight blue number on Suits’ Abigail Spencer. Her raven curls and rep lippie complete the ultra-feminine vibe.
We are DYING over this stunning Christmas bauble-esque Prada on Paulson. Ultra elegant with her blonde crop and power brow. As for the earrings… we’d sell our first born.
Kiki’s always a class act, and she hasn’t let us down in classic, vampy black. Love the old Hollywood waves on this Hitchcockian blonde, plus the creamy, dreamy cleavage. Hot.
Few can pull off an all-white gown, other than on their wedding day, but classic beauty Emmy does so with aplomb. This plunging white dress is startlingly simple but stunningly flattering. And a round of applause for that hair, please.
This Altuzarra dress is so fashun, and Amanda rocks it like she’s on the runway. Beauty, brains and Brooke Shields’ brows – we love you Mandy! (Would have looked even better with a slicked back up-do, though).
And the award for best hair goes to…. Kerry Washington! Pregnancy fashion on point.
Taraji P. Henson
Yasss Kweeen! Love love love everything about this! Taraji is fierce in canary yellow Vera Wang.
This nude Tony Ward dress with train has the most exquisite back and is just so gosh darn pretty on Felicity. In our opinion, it walks just the right line between sleek and frou frou. The shoulder sweeping earrings and soft up-do are beautiful, too.
OINTB badass Lyonne looks the bomb in this dramatic monochromatic number. And we’re seriously lusting after her side swept, strawberry waves.
