Fall In Love With Neal’s Yard Remedies

Neal’s Yard Remedies is a true British beauty success story. Founded in Covent Garden in 1981, the holistic ideals behind these products have lead to a skincare range made from natural, organic and wild ingredients.
I was lucky enough to visit three Neal’s Yard stores during a recent visit to England – their cute York shop, the flagship Covent Garden location and the sleek outlet at Westfield London.
Each store gives off the vibe of an old fashioned apothecary, but still maintains its own individual style that fits in with the surroundings. York is all wooden window frames and a hint of Tudor style. Covent Garden is brick, bright colours and greenery while Westfield London has huge glass windows that match the rest of the ultra modern mall.
Once you enter a Neal’s Yard store you are immediately enchanted by the beautiful smell. It’s a mixture of rose, lavender and all the other natural and organic ingredients that are used within the range. The products are displayed invitingly around the stores on wooden shelves and tables.
What I love about Neal’s Yard is the honesty involved in every step of their process. They explain in detail on their website about the differences between organic and non-organic, and what exactly is in their products. They are working towards all of their products being certified organic, but they are quick to point out this is still a challenge.
There are no Neal’s Yard Remedies stores in Australia, but luckily for you we stock some of their products in the bellabox store. These are my picks for the full Neal’s Yard experience.
One of their best sellers, the Wild Rose Beauty Balm is a cleanser, exfoliant ,deep treatment and moisturiser in one. It contains wild rosehip oil, geranium, starflower, hemp and rosemary oil to leave you with smooth, radiant and nourished skin.
Frankincense is a staple of the Neal’s Yard range. This natural anti-ageing ingredient is known for its rejuvenating qualities. The Facial Wash cleanses skin thoroughly without stripping away natural oils.
Rehydrating Rose Daily Moisture
This light and easily absorbed moisturiser is fantastic for normal and dehydrated skin. It contains hundred petalled rose extract and damask rose oil to soften and smooth skin and restore its natural radiance.
