It’s time to deal with your keratosis pilaris or “chicken skin” with DERMAdoctor’s incredible KP Duty range!
With the weather starting to get warmer, you’re probably thinking about showing off some skin. But are you one of the many ladies who has tiny little “chicken skin” bumps on your arms and legs? They almost look like tiny little pimples, and they are usually red, rough and sometimes even scaly. Have you ever wondered exactly why they are, and how to get rid of them?
Turns out there’s a name for this skin condition. It’s called keratosis pilaris, and it affects approximately 50% of the world’s population. The cause is the build-up of keratin around the hair follicles in your arms and legs, which creates a little bump. It’s not dangerous or painful in any way, but it sure is annoying! It’s generally hereditary, and although it’s not curable it is treatable. You may have noticed it gets worse during winter when you’re all covered up.
Luckily for you we are now stocking the amazing DERMAdoctor KP Duty range in the bellabox store! This incredible American range is specially formulated to help get rid of keratosis pilaris and give you beautiful, silky smooth skin.
bellabox Brand Director Sam swears by KP Duty. She can’t stop talking about this amazing product, and she was the driving force behind getting it into our shop. She’s had keratosis pilaris for as long as she can remember, but once she started using KP Duty it cleared right up.
In a nutshell, KP Duty is all about exfoliating and moisturising your skin with targeted ingredients that will really help to reduce your chicken skin. There are a few products in this range, and I think you are going to love them.
KP Duty Scrub is a dual action exfoliating formula. This scrub works both physically and chemically to make your skin look and feel smooth. Infused with green tea and willow bark, this body scrub allows for a refreshing and revitalizing experience. It’s also great for creating a smooth surface before fake tanning! I would recommend using this before showering, as you need to apply it on dry skin. Just apply a small amount to affected areas, and massage in with your fingertips. Then rinse off with water.
KP Duty Lotion is an AHA moisturising therapy lotion. It contains a patented blend of glycolic acid, green tea extract and urea to help exfoliate, calm and hydrate. After a few uses your skin will feel smoother, softer and more hydrated. As well as helping to improve the appearance of keratosis pilaris, it also works wonders on parched skin. We sampled this product in the July bellabox.
How do you use it? Just apply like a normal moisturiser! You can use it year-round as a moisturiser for your body, arms, legs, hands and feet. It’s fragrance free and absorbs easily, so you won’t even be aware you’ve got it on.
Of course these aren’t the only DERMAdoctor products we’re stocking, and you are going to hear a lot more about these from us in the next little while!
