Karlie Kloss and Gigi Hadid snap a selfie on the way to the Met.
The best red carpet of the year is the annual Met Gala, and once again the stars delivered some amazing, inspiring and downright ridiculous gowns.
The theme in 2015 is China: Through The Looking Glass. Interpret that how you want, because most celebrities and designers seemed to ignore it! With selfies banned and the potential for some incredibly politically incorrect outfits, let’s see which big names got it right and who got it wrong.
Every single big star hit the red carpet, so this time around we’re skipping some of the typical ball gowns and looking at the celebs who really brought it with their styling, hair and makeup.
Beyonce
A nude gown with strategically placed beads and the highest ponytail ever – Beyonce brought the drama to the Met Gala in this eyecatching dress. What a look. For an inner glow like Beyonce try IVI ORGANIC Illuminating Brightening Hydrator.
Kim and Kanye
And then there was Kim, also in a nude beaded gown. There is one million stories written about Kim copying Beyonce's 2012 Met Gala dress, but we're not totally convinced. Loving the feather train and the way Kanye seems to absolutely adore her.

What do you think - too similar for the red carpet?
Katy Perry and Madonna
This is how you do a costume ball! Katy and Madonna showed up in outrageously amazing Moschino dresses. No need to stress, Katy’s cropped hair is a wig.
Lady Gaga
This is commitment to the Chinese theme of the night. Those eyes are spectacular – try using an Om She Jaime Paris Eyeshadow to create your own dramatic red carpet look.
Rihanna
The belle of the ball was Rihanna in a yellow gown by Chinese designer Guo Pei. That train is amazing. We’re really into her headpiece as well – let’s bring tiaras back for everyday wear.
Sarah Jessica Parker
We all have that friend who goes all out for a themed party – and at the Met Gala, that friend is Sarah Jessica Parker. This spectacular Chinese inspired ensemble was designed in collaboration with H&M.
Jennifer Lawrence
One of the co-chairs of the event, Jennifer Lawrence was the picture of youthful elegance in Dior. We love her simple but stunning up-do. If you want to steal some of her glow, try a Dr Morita Firming Eye Mask for red carpet ready eyes.
Karlie Kloss and Gigi Hadid
Two supermodels are better than one! Karlie and Gigi had a girls night out at the Met Gala. We’re into their subtle smokey eyes – try the Coastal Scents Revealed Palette to capture their look.
Anne Hathaway
Anne shimmered and shined in this gold hooded Ralph Lauren gown. Despite the spectacular outfit, our eyes were immediately drawn to her perfect eyebrows – use Dushi Brow Enhancer if you’re looking for similar definition.
Solange Knowles
She was the biggest headline of the 2014 Met Gala thanks to her elevator antics, but this year Solange brought a shield. This is the type of artistic and creative dress the Met Gala is all about.
Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen
The Olsens came dressed all in black, because why mess with a classic? If you’re wanting to recreate their perfectly matte lips, all you need is a lip liner. Try Coral Colours Lip Liner, which comes in a range of nudes and colours to suit you.
George and Amal Clooney
Amal makes her Met Gala debut in tiered red with her spectacular hair proudly on display. George is charmingly elegant as usual. Amal’s in John Galliano for Maison Margiela.
Justin Bieber
Most guys wear tuxedos at the Met Gala. Not JB. His embroidered gold jacket is what this night is all about. There’s also plenty of potential for girl drama with Justin’s ex Selena Gomez and potential new girl Hailey Baldwin both attending – not to mention Kendall Jenner.
Lorde and Ellie Goulding
Singers Lorde and Ellie hit the red carpet together and sparkled in front of the cameras. There’s a lot of amazing eye makeup going on around Lorde’s eyes – try Eye Of Horus Bronze Amulet Pencil to recreate this look.
