Model, clothing designer, ambassador and all round #girlboss Elyse Knowles is an inspiration to many at the ripe age of 22. She recently became the ambassador of one of our favourite brands, so we took the opportunity to ask Elyse about her beauty regime, career highlights and health secrets.
We’re so excited that you have just been announced as Ulta3’s new Ambassador! How did it come about?
I am so excited too! It's such a fun brand and I'm so happy to be onboard. I actually met Heat Group Managing Director, Gillian Franklin, at the 2015 Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne. We got on like a house on fire. Then 4 months later I got a phone call from her asking if I would like to be the brand ambassador for her cosmetic label ulta3. Of course I said yes!
What does your skincare and beauty routine consist of?
I'm a big believer in keeping your skin clean and healthy. Number one trick is drink lots and lots of water. I always use a cleanser/ exfoliant in the shower and moisturise. If I'm running out the door, I smack on some ulta3 cc cream! It has the perfect coverage and has SPF 30! A bit of concealer, bronzer and blush! A little mascara and I'm off! It creates the perfect natural look.
What are the top three products that you can’t live without?
Volume and length mascara
Lip crayon in pretty nude
What's the best beauty trick you have learned on set?
My best beauty trick would have to be to fill in your eyebrows to make them appear thicker! And add a bit of brow wax or clear mascara to stick them into place. Big eye brows are totally the way to go!!
My fitness regime is very different everyday (I get bored if I do the same thing all the time). I mix it up between: going to my trainer, working out with josh on my back deck- cardio first: skipping, boxing and bike, then Kayla Itsines body weight workouts, Reformer Pilates, or a good walk with Isla, my dog and adding in some sprints on the oval
I love drinking some apple cider vinegar in the morning before breakfast in some hot water. I find it really gets my metabolism going!
What led you to start your Evrryday line?
I have always loved fashion. So I started to design my own denim shorts. I knew if I loved them some other girls would too. I also always wanted to find something where I could get customers involved with donating to charity. Evrryday was perfect as we donate 10% to charity off every purchase.
