You’ve just met someone new and as they introduce themselves they reach over to shake your hand. Your mind races. Your hands are dry! Your nails are ragged and chipped! You spend the next few minutes worrying about whether they noticed your hands or not.
This situation is so easy to avoid. Looking after your hands is incredibly simple, and requires just a few minutes of your time. It’s time for you to enrol in Nail Care 101!
This will be the easiest class you have ever taken. These four steps can be spread throughout your day to help you achieve soft and neat hands and nails.
One: Shape And File
Nice nails are the first step on the road to perfect hands. If your nails are too long and you’d prefer them to be a lot shorter, use clippers or nail scissors first to trim the ends. Don’t try to file them down or you’ll be here all day!
Now it’s time to choose your shape. Oval, square or almond – it’s completely up to you. There is no one size fits all shape, but if breakage is a problem keep your nails short.
You should file your nails in only one direction, rather than using a back and forth motion. This will help to prevent breaks and splits.
Two: Treat Those Cuticles
You don’t need to spend time cutting or pushing back cuticles at home. Leave that for the professionals.
