We are super excited to be featuring Dr Roebuck’s products in some of our Mindful Beauty bellaboxes in April!
Dr Roebuck’s is an Australian brand run by twin sisters Kim and Zoe, and all the products are based on a formulation their parents created over thirty years ago.
I’ve been testing out the products that we are sampling to work out the best ways to use them. I think you’re all going to be very impressed by how versatile they are!
This is the original formulation that was created for people with dry and extremely sensitive skin. It can be used on dry skin, sensitive skin, wind damaged and irritated skin.
When applying you should let it sit on top of your skin in a white layer. Give it a few minutes and it will absorb. I tried it on my face to help it calm down after a chemical peel, and it was amazing! I had way less peeling than I normally would.
Everyday After Wax
Despite the title, this product works just as well for those who shave. It fights hard against ingrown hairs. Just massage it into your legs after you finish waxing or shaving.
I used it for about two weeks after shaving. I am prone to ingrowns and also keratosis pilaris (this little red or skin coloured bumps). How are my legs now? Silky smooth!
Bubs And Bits
I know some of you will receive this one and be a bit confused by the name. If something is gentle enough to be used on a baby’s skin then it is suitable for adults.
Bubs and Bits is designed to be used on “precious and sensitive parts”, such as after a Brazilian Wax. I also tried it as a regular moisturiser on other parts of my body and it was great!
Face is based on the original Dr Roebuck’s formulation but it also contains Vitamin E, Macadamia Oil and Rosehip Oil to help minimise and reduce wrinkles. Lavender Oil has been added to calm and combat skin stress.
The formula itself is a lot lighter than Pure and most of the other products, and it absorbs really easily into the skin. It didn’t cause any breakouts for me, and my skin felt soft and smooth.
