For a fresh makeup look this winter, it’s all about luminous skin and just-been-pinched cheeks. Thankfully, while skincare and a healthy diet is the best way to achieve gorgeously glowing skin, there are a few simple tips and tricks to giving good cheek. Behold all the tools and tactics you need to keep your cheeks on fleek, featuring a few of our fave products from Manna Kadar cosmetics. How do you like them apples?
The secret to flawless, poreless makeup that doesn’t disappear, get greasy, or migrate down your face by the end of the day? Primer! Oil-free and mattifying, Manna Kadar Runway Ready Face Primer fills in creases and fine lines and basically photoshops pesky pores out of the picture.
A good quality makeup brush
After applying your foundation, it’s time to get to work on those cheeks! (Pro-tip: do your eye makeup before your foundation. That way, you can easily remove any eyeshadow fallout from your under-eye area and cheeks without smudging all your handiwork.)
Forget about the brush that comes with your blush compact, and invest in a soft, medium sizedblush brush for precise application and easy manoeuvring.
Powder highlighter & blush
If you’re like us, you love a good multi-tasker, so you’ll be loving the gorge Blossom Floral Compact in all our July boxes! The pressed powder blush-highlighter combo features three flattering shades that can be blended for a natural, all-over glow, or used individually as a highlighter and highly-pigmented pink blush.
Use the lightest shade, or a combination of two or three shades (experiment to see which combo best suits your skint one), to highlight your brow bone, inner corners of your eyes, bridge of nose, cupid’s bow and cheekbones. This will help to subtly contour the face and give you a lit-from-within glow.
AFTER applying highlighter to your cheeks, apply your blush (your preference of the two pink shades, or a mix) to the apples of your cheeks. Avoid applying the blush shades to the hollows of your cheek, as you want to recreate a natural flush, which only occurs on the apples. If you want added contouring for your cheekbones, a bronzer can be applied under the cheekbone. On some lighter skin tones, blending the three shades in the compact makes a good bronzer substitute!
Finally, blend your blush with your brush until you get the desired intensity. And voilà! On fleek cheeks and a super gorgeous all-over radiance!
