5 Ways to use Australis’ Fresh and Flawless Face Powder
AU bellas will all be treated to Australis’ Fresh and Flawless Face Powder this month, a staple for every beauty lover. The 2-in-1 product offers dual power as a foundation and pressed powder, and delivers an instant solution for oily, sensitive, and problem-prone skin. Whether you suffer from an oily T-Zone, or need to combat any creasing, here are some easy ways to use your Australis’ powder for a fuss-free application.
Get rid of shine
We’re always told glow is a good thing. As a fellow oily skin bella, I can attest that it often feels like a nuisance when you find your foundation sliding off, or seeing a shine resembling the moon on your forehead, a mere hour into the day. I’ve once and for all found a solution for this, and making friends with Australis’ pressed powder was the way to do it. Simply take the purse-friendly compact on the go, and apply wherever desired to matte down any excessively oily areas. Make sure to pop an oil-free primer underneath your liquid foundation for long-lasting power. Top it off with this face powder every few hours and keep your face shine-free all day long.
As a foundation
With the weather finally turning up, a lot of bellas are opting for a lighter and more natural coverage. Luckily, this can be easily achieved with Australis’ pressed powder. Swap out your usual liquid foundation, and use this gem in lieu. Simply swipe all over the face where coverage is desired, or wet a beauty blender and dip into the powder before applying. Not only will this give you a fresher finish; it will also cut down your makeup routine, giving you more time to spend outdoors and in the sunshine. Just don’t forget your sunblock.
Under-eye
Another great use for this powder is to combat eye-creasing like no other. When concealer is applied under eyes, it can often crease a few hours after application, leaving the overall finish not-so-flawless. A trick for this is to use a swipe of this powder under the eyes, after the concealer has been applied. This will help set the under eye area while keeping it matte for the rest of the day. For a smoother finish, apply a moisturising eye cream before makeup application.
Setting makeup
In the same realm, you can also use this powder to set the rest of your makeup by simply applying all over the face, following your liquid foundation. Grab your favourite powder brush, and swipe across any areas that you’d like to keep matte. If you’ve worked hard at achieving a dewy finish, and would like to maintain a summer glow throughout the day, use the powder only on areas that you’d like to matte down, and gently swipe over the rest. A common trick is to leave out the highpoints of the face from being powdered, to let your highlight do all the talking.
Use a bronzer
For a touch of colour, use a darker shade of the finishing powder and use to shape the face with an angled face brush. A shade like Darkest Olive works perfectly as a bronzer, bringing your look a touch of that enviable summer beach tan. Its natural finish not only blends and glides on effortlessly, but it leaves you with a soft contour and a sunkissed glow.
