If you've visited the UK, you’ll be familiar with Boots. It’s an iconic chain of pharmacies that is as British as tea, scones and the royal family. Boots is literally on every high street. As well as selling just about every beauty, skincare and health brand you could think of, Boots also has it’s own range of highly regarded beauty products, known as Boots Laboratories. And the good news is that some Boots products are now available in Australia!
Boots started way back in 1849, when John Boot opened a store in Nottingham where he sold herbal remedies. His son later took over the store, increasing the number of products they sold and opening new stores all over country. The Boots name because synonymous with good quality skincare at an affordable price, and you would be hard pressed to find a British woman without at least one Boots product in her bathroom cupboard.
Since then the company has grown and grown, increasing their range of products and expanding to other countries. But not Australia – until now. The Boots Laboratories Optiva, Serum 7 (known as No 7 in the UK) and Serum 7 Lift lines recently arrived in Australia, meaning that these British beauty secrets are no longer out of reach. Serum 7 helps with the first signs of ageing, Serum 7 Lift is for those with deeper and established lines and wrinkles while Optiva is a hydrating range of products that strengthens the skin's moisture barrier.
Their serums have been incredibly popular, thanks to a BBC documentary which demonstrated that the No 7 Protect and Perfect serum could actually help restore prematurely aged skin. This sparked a buying frenzy. Think long queues, new shipments selling out immediately, and a whole nation of women with younger looking skin. This product is known as the Serum 7 Beauty Serum in Australia. The Optiva Aqua Capture Serum is another popular product, with amazing hydrating properties that the bb team have been enjoying!
Boots products are available in Australia from Amcal and Guardian Pharmacies.
