Bioderma, oh how we love you. Since we sampled the Sebium range in September, we can’t keep up with the orders of the AKN cream in our store! This week, their cult cleansing waters landed in our warehouse. Beloved by makeup artists and celebrities alike, we are all converts as well. Who knows, perhaps you will get to try one in your November bellabox…
Freaking Out About!
Did you know it's only 6 weeks away? We have so much to do here at bbHQ before we take a little break. We have to finalise the December and January boxes, as well as attend all of the fabulous Christmas parties and do our shopping of course! Oh yes, your little blue box will still land on your doorstep in January! It is holiday season after all, when we all actually have the time to pamper and indulge ourselves, so what better time to receive a wonderful box of goodies?
I haven’t even thought about presents yet; I can’t bear Christmas shopping and always put it off until the last minute, which of course means the shops are like combat zones. This year my friends and family will be receiving various items from the bellabox store, and gift subscriptions as it means their gifts will be sent straight to them - easy! Let us make your life easier, and give the gift that keeps giving to your loved ones this Christmas - a bellabox each month, filled with lots of lovely goodies selected by us. We will also be putting together a Christmas gift guide soon with lots of beauty and grooming suggestions for all of your loved ones, so stay tuned!
There is always some new extract touted by the cosmetics industry as the latest super ingredient. Toiling within this field, I consider it my duty to try out as many products as possible - the weirder the better, as far as I am concerned! One time it was nightingale poop (I had a facial with this ingredient!), placenta (I have a healing cream that works a treat) and then it was snake venom. One of my favourite brands, Rodial, released a product with this ingredient, am not quite sold on it to be honest...
The latest ingredient from Korea is snail extract. Uhuh, you read right! Slime from snails! It is supposed to soothe, regenerate, heal the skin and keep it hydrated. As I love all skincare Korean style, in the name of research, I have decided to try this cream. I am not particularly squeamish about ingredients - I’m on the dark side of my 30s and the Big Four Oh is looming - I don’t care where it comes from, as long as it works! I will keep you posted in the coming weeks if this cream really is the miracle ingredient my Korean friends tell me it is.
What about you? Would you try a cream with snail extract in it? What unusual ingredient in skin care have you tried in the name of beauty?
