The June bellabox theme is Iconic Beauty, and this month we’ll be looking at different iconic beauties from over the decades. Ladies that have changed the way we look at beauty, and who have become legendary for their looks.
We’re kicking this series off with a look at a modern beauty icon: Cara Delevingne.
Cara’s claim to fame is her eyebrows. They are thick, dark and perfectly frame her face. They’re the eyebrows that have launched a thousand products, as everyone tries to mimic her look.
So what’s her secret? They’re really that thick, and her makeup artist Wendy Rowe told The Coveteur that there are no magic products used to fill them in. Wendy revealed that she uses “Elnett hairspray, sprayed onto a M.A.C. Brow Gel to keep them in place”. That’s seriously it, there are no powders or pencils involved.
Of course if you want to try and get your brows a little closer to Cara’s level, the Anastasia Beverly Hills range is the way to do it. Read our run down of all the different products, and shop the range now in the bellabox store.
When it comes to makeup, Cara can basically wear anything. She’s a model so of course she spends a lot of time being made up by other people. But day to day, Cara keeps it very natural. She goes bare faced regularly, or wears a light foundation with just a hint of dark colour on her eyes – and then posts the results on Instagram for everyone to see!
Skincare is a topic Cara has been asked about a lot. Surprise, surprise, she keeps things very simple.
Cara told Harpers Bazaar that her must have products are Skinceuticals Vitamin C Serum, Simple Facial Wipes, Carmex Lip Balm and Nivea Cream. If that sounds pretty attainable for everyone to copy, she did admit to also liking Crème de la Mer Moisturising Cream and having a Venus Freeze treatment to tighten her skin.
She also told Daily Makeover that she likes Chanel’s Demaquillant Yeux Intense for removing eye makeup, and uses Bee Yummy skin Food to make her skin soft. To achieve that soft, messy hair she looks after her locks with Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil, and sprays in Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray for volume and styling.
