This month we were so excited to bring the luscious beauty brand Lush to our members with their Ro's Argan Body Conditioner. Read on for more Lush goss as well as the full scoop on their amazing, award winning body conditioner and how to use it for the best results...
Who are Lush?
No doubt you've seen Lush in your local shopping centre - and smelt their packed-to-the-brim with beauty delights stores at the same time! That's because Lush pride themselves on inventing their own fragrances and products and make them from fresh, organic fruit and vegetables as well as the finest essential oils and safe synthetics. Feel like you've heard all this before? One of Lush's core beliefs is that ' words like 'Fresh' and 'Organic' have an honest meaning beyond marketing' and the proof really is in the pudding-like product (afterall, it is good enough to eat!). Further proof that these ingredients are as fresh as fresh can be? Lush tell you when there products were made, so you know the exact lifespan of a product before putting it on your precious skin.
What is the Lush range?
The Lush range is huge! It contains shower, bath, face, body, hair and perfume products - as well as gift packs and vouchers (if you want to trump all others next time it's your pal's/mum's/sister's bday!). Not only do Lush cater to these areas, but every concern is considered. For instance, do you feel like a decadent bath? Then pick from scrumptious soaps, or bath melts, or ballistics (bath bombs) or even bubble bars (which do exactly what you think - they make your bath lovely and bubbly!) There are multiple options for every beauty lover - you are bound to find something you love!
Bath bomb = bathroom and beauty fun!
Our product pick?
We have our hearts set on two Lush offerings right now - their Body Conditioner and their awesome new range of makeup!
First, let me tell you about the cosmetics. The Emotional Brilliance makeup range has been ingeniously created around the idea of beauty empowerment. By personalising your makeup, you can show the world your true colours. Designed by Lush creator Rowena Bird, in conjunction with a strategic behavioural therapist, each colour in the range correlates with an emotion and will help the wearer achieve their emotional brilliance.
To find yours head in-store or online to spin the colour wheel. When the wheel stops spinning, you immediately pick out three colours that stand out to you (it works best if you choose the first three you that pops out at you - don't spend too long thinking about it!)
Here are my results after I tested my colours online:
And these are the colours/products that matched up:
I definitely have my eye on the green liner (no pun intended) and either of the lip colours - they are both shades I already love to wear! Lush don't dictate where you have to wear your chosen colours - there is nothing stopping your from using your shade as an eyeshadow, lip colour or even a cheek colour!
When some of the bb girls went instore to try the Emotional Brilliance range out, these are the shades Marketing and PR Manager Lucy came out with ...
And here she is with Cate and Peta from Lush wearing her new 'Strong' colour on her lips.
Why not head instore or try it online for yourself and see what colours suit your emotional brilliance? It's like mood ring makeup - but with a lot more behavioural grounding!
Now, on to the Ro's Argan Body Conditioner. Unlike traditional bar soaps and liquid body washes that claim to be moisturising, but can actually strip skin of its natural moisture, this conditioner works the exactly the same way as the one you put in your hair! Containing naturally-nourishing ingredients like Argan Oil, Brazil Nut Oil, Cocoa Butter and Shea Butter, this conditioner will leave your skin supple, soft and with a delightful hint of rose scent. To use, simply rub into your skin after cleansing your body. Apply just as you would apply conditioner to your hair. Gently massage in, before rinsing thoroughly. This exciting product is the world's first genuinely result-producing lotion that gives you new motivation to step into your daily shower. No wonder it was the winner of the Best New Product at the 2012 Australian Business Awards! Have you tried it for yourself? What did you think?
Do you love Lush too? Which product is your pick? Have you tried the Emotional Brilliance test? Let us know! - Lauren
