We were lucky enough to chat with Tahyna Tozzi recently about all things beauty, style and what's on the radar of this stunning Aussie chick...
Thanks for chatting with us today Tahyna! Firstly, tell us a little bit about you – what’s a day in the life of Tahyna like?
My days are very variable. There are days were I may teach an Xtendbarre Class at 6am in the morning race home go straight to the gym and follow up with a meeting or audition then go to yoga and finish the evening with at least 2 hours of writing. BUT - and it's a big but - there are days such as a Sunday were I will lay in bed till noon and lunch around with my friends. It all depends on my schedule at the time. I would like to say I am as time efficient as those crazy filled days, but I am human!
Now, sorry for our impatience, but we can’t wait any longer – we have to know: From film, to fashion to the red carpet, you’ve worn some stunning beauty styles. Have you ever learnt any top beauty tips or secrets from working with the pros?
Make up tends to go in trends, very much in the same way as fashion. My biggest lesson is; don't try all trends at once. Stick to what you know works and add a little on top. For example I love neutral toned make up but will add a pop of colour on my lip. Also-clean your make up off before bed time! Very important!!
AND the Bioderma Crealine H2O 500mlfor removing makeup in a flash. Try this limited edition mega-sized bottle!
And with a successful career as an actress and model, we bet you’ve worn some interesting looks!! What’s the craziest beauty look you’ve ever had to wear?
Being both an actress and the occasional model (never my forte) I often get transformed into characters that are so far removed from me. One one of my films this year JULIA I turned up on set straight out of Australian summer with Sun blonde hair and summertime tan only to have my hair chopped short and dyed Blue Black. I also avoided daylight during shooting! My make up was black eye shadow, black eyeliner and black lips. It was a big shock looking in the mirror.
We love your on and off-duty style. Do you prefer getting dressed up for thered carpet, or a more casual look on days off?
For those who know me well they know I am not a fan of getting dressed up at all. I much prefer casual days-I wish I could turn up to red carpets in jeans, sneakers and a T-shirt.
You seem to be a bit of a beach girl at heart – where is your favourite beach and how do you like to pack you beach bag? Any beauty essentials we should know about for this summer?
I grew up with the ocean at my doorstep and couldn't imagine leaving too far away. My favorite beach is still boat harbor in Sydney Australia. It's a 4 wheel drive park too. I have been going there since I was a baby. I always pack sunscreen (I think most Australian Brands get it right as they understand our sun exposure) and I will often pack jojoba or Coconut oil to put on my body after I've been in the salt water. Its the best natural oil to give your body that glow effect.
bb LOVES Goe Oil - it smells like summer in a tube!
And did we see you recently got engaged? Congratulations! Have you started planning your look for your big day? Do you prefer a more traditional bridal style or something a little out of the box?
Thank you!! Yes I am so thrilled!! I have started to think about those sort of things. I think I am quite traditional in that sense but you'll have to wait to find out!!
And finally our favourite question here at bb – what’s been your best beauty discovery of all time?
JOJOBA and Coconut oil. I use both those products religiously from hair to face to all over body!
