BELLABOX BEAUTY TIPS & TRICKS FOR THE RACES:
Last but not least, here are 3 handy tips you need to know now, before you hit the track...
1. Hold on to your head piece!
Headpieces come in all shapes and sizes, from dainty fascinators, to bold (and sometimes heavy) hats. Make the most of the in-built clips and elastics that come with them, but never underestimate the power of bobby pins, backcombing and hairspray either! Backcomb the hair under a small hat/fascinator before clipping it in - this way it will have something to hold on to. By spraying it, you'll also increase the grip available to the in-built clips (especially if you have freshly washed hair). Bobby pins can also be used to hold small headpieces in place - just make sure to push them right into the hair, so they stay well hidden.
2. Powder is your friend
Translucent powder is the key to keeping your base lasting until well after the last race has been run. Lightly dust a small amount over the top of your liquid foundation to help set it in place. A soft illuminsing one will also brighten your complexion! Try the Inika Mineral Illuminisor.
3. A bold lip is sometimes better than a bold eye
A bold eye often takes multiple layers of eyeshadow, liner and mascara, which can easily slip and slide around before the day is out (especially if it's going to be a hot one!) Opt for a bold pout instead. Try one of the Savoir Faire Mini Lipsticks, which are super pigmented and come in tiny little bullets, perfect for the smallest of clutches!
