What’s the best motherhood advice you’ve been given? Everyone you know will have advice and opinions about how you are raising your child. However, you are the only real expert on your child and what he or she may need.Don’t try to be a perfect Mother, there is no such thing as being the perfect mother! Being a Mum is one of the hardest titles to hold but one of the most rewarding. Trust your instincts and don’t judge yourself. Do not be hard on yourself or get discouraged if you fail. If you fall down, get back up, and try something else. 2. How did your beauty routine change after becoming a mother? Even after having a child, I still like to practice self-care! I always apply creams and lotions in the morning and evening. I believe that having kids shouldn’t stop me from looking after myself too. I have found that taking a few moments for myself each day, enables me to give my full heart and soul to my children. However, there is no denying that I have a lot less time than I used to. I have simplified my beauty routine. I’m really enjoying the natural beauty that motherhood brings! Ultimately, beauty comes from within, if you are happy, content and confident then you will just naturally glow!3. Favourite product you have found in the bellabox? KORA lip balm by Miranda Kerr4. How do you balance working and being a Mum? Mothers are great at juggling time! I used to fight so hard to be superhuman; the go-getter at work, friend, coach, mum, nurse, wife, all rolled into one. However, I have come to realise that the right ‘role’ is different to every woman, and sometimes we have to choose what is best for ourselves and families. I used to work full time. I was completely exhausted, and so was my husband. Above all, we wanted to raise our children the best way that we could. For me, this meant minimising my work schedule and spending more time at home. Am I excited to get back into the full-time working world some day? Absolutely! One thing my faith in God has taught is to live in the present and to appreciate where I am right now.CLAIRE REUSS | MOTHER of 1 BOY & 1 GIRL | SALES DIRECTOR
