I consider myself a bit of an eyeliner fiend; I have every type of eyeliner imaginable! Pencil, liquid, gel, mineral...you name it! For this edition of bella's beauty buys, I'll be telling you all about an amazing gel eyeliner I discovered through bb. Read on for the full scoop!
Here's how I break down my eyeliners - I wear pencil liner if I want a natural look, I wear liquid liner if I want a super sleek look and I wear gel liner if I want my liner to stay on all day. My go-to gel liner was M.A.C.'s Fluidline...until I discovered the Glamorous Minerals Gel Eyeliner!
This gel liner is super handy because it comes with a built-in brush, so you don't have to fumble around looking for your eyeliner brush!
As you can see, the built-in brush has a very fine tip, which allows you to draw very fine lines with precision. But make sure you remember to clean your brush after use, otherwise it can dry up. Everyone has a different way of cleaning their makeup brushes, so what's my method? For a quick clean, I pour some eye makeup remover on a cotton pad and wipe the brush back and forth. For a thorough clean, I use Youtube beauty superstar Michelle Phan's method of cleaning the brush in a mixture made up of antibacterial dishwashing liquid and a bit of olive oil (to condition the bristles) - it leaves your brushes amazingly squeaky clean!
The black gel liner formulation is also extremely pigmented! It glides on smoothly and dries waterproof and smudgeproof, and lasts up to 24 hours. It is so long-lasting that it's actually a little difficult to remove (I find that it is best to use an oil-based eye makeup remover for this product).
And tadaa! This is what it looks like on my eyes, and as you can see, the fine brush is perfect for achieving a smooth wing. Its staying power makes it the perfect liner to wear on a night out or for a special event. Trust me, it will not budge!
Have you used his product (or any other products) from Glamorous Minerals? What is your favourite brand of gel liner? I would love to hear from you! - Lucy
