For this edition of bella's beauty buys, I will be telling you all about Planet Eve's Facial Cleansing Oil and why it's perfect for my sensitive skin!
First of all, let me tell you about my skin type - I suffer from eczema, which means my skin is dry and ultra sensitive. Every year, I experience a couple of bad flareups, usually when the seasons change. My journey into finding the right skincare products has been long and exhausting - I've tried so many products that claim to be suitable for dry, sensitive skin, only to have a bad reaction afterwards (leading to lot of visits to the doctor and wasted money!)
I came across organic skincare brand Planet Eve when we sampled with them in our March 'Bare-faced Beauty' box. Planet Eve is an Australian organic skincare brand with a range that is completely dedicated to certified organics using luscious beautiful ingredients such as rose, macadamia, jojoba and shea butter. What's more, they do not test on animals or use animal ingredients - a huge plus!
After some hesitation, I decided to tentatively try the Planet Eve Facial Cleansing Oil. It comes in a 100ml tube bottle with a pump top for easy dispensing.
It is a deeply nourishing facial cleanser that is antibacterial, antioxidant and vitamin-rich - helping to remove dirt, grime and makeup without stripping the skin.
The oil cleanser is clear and has a slightly herbal (but pleasant) smell. Pump two or three times and warm it between your hands (because it is a chemical-free product, it doesn't create much lather). Apply it to the face, avoiding the sensitive skin around the eyes, then add warm water and gently massage until the cleanser becomes milky. Finally, use a warm face cloth to remove.
I use this every night after removing my makeup using makeup wipes and before I apply moisturiser. I have been using this product since March and have not experienced any skin reactions! I love how it makes my skin feel super clean and refreshed, and I highly recommend it to anyone who has dry, sensitive skin.
Have you tried Planet Eve products before (perhaps in your March bb?) Do you use any other facial cleansing oils? Let me know below! - Lucy
