Anyone who has read one of my bella's beauty buys before would know, I am big on haircare products. I love anything that will add a healthy dose of shine, strength and silkiness to my locks (being a very straight haired brunette, these are my main haircare hopes) However, I am always on the hunt for a product that does all of this without weighing my hair down or adding too much oil, as rich hair products can easily do!
But after a little blue sample landed on my desk a few months back, I think I've found my answer. A few of you might remember discovering a similar looking sample in your bellaboxes too. In July we sampled with amazing hair cair brand, Royal Moroccan, whose products harness Argan oil to keep hair healthy. While I wasn't new to Argan oil - or Moroccan Oil, as it is widely known - I'd only ever used it as a serum, which looks a little something like this...
I'd never tried other hair products containing Argan Oil. Now that I have, I'm kicking myself I didn't discover them sooner! After this little sachet blew me away, we have since decided to stock the product in question in our online store - and I now have a jar of it sitting pretty in my shower. But look at me - I've gotten carried away with myself! What exactly is this new product I'm talking about?
It's the Royal Moroccan Hair Mask Treatment. This hair mask is a thick and creamy nourishing product that works wonders when used at least once a week on strands. Containing Keratin and Vitamin E for strength (kind to colour treated and heat stlyed hair: tick) and Argan and Olive oil to nourish and provide shine (another tick) this mask sounded the goods. But could it live up to it's promises?
Put simply: yep! After replacing my normal conditioner with this mask around every 3 hair washes a week, I've noticed a difference. My hair feels a lot silkier than normal. The proof was in the pudding - my hair kept slipping out of my regular hair tie and annoyingly getting all up in my grill at the gym. This was very inconvienient mid-Body Attack class (where the humble ponytail really is an essential!) But considering it was a sign of smooth locks, I felt a small amount of satisfaction - when I wasn't trying to do the grapevine and re-tie my hair, that is.
The summer top knot
I can see this mask really earning its keep come summer time, after days at the beach have left my locks a little worse for wear (sun, salt and constant top knots being the main culprits!) This mask also interestingly made my hair a little less tangled when wet, post-wash. I'm betting that this will definitely help out with split ends in the long run. After all, less tangles makes for smoother combing and brushing, which means less tugging on locks. Another tick!
And in the beauty world, three ticks ain't bad! If you wan't to try it for yourself, or want to learn even more, just click over here.
Do you Argan Oil products too? Have you tried any of the Royal Moroccan Hair Care range? Any thoughts? - Lauren
