Fab Faces: Kate Bosworth for Topshop

Christmas not only only heralds love and cheer but also brings with it a host of retail advertising encouraging shoppers to spend big! Whilst we aren't huge fans of the Coles and Woolies xmas advertising varieties, we are loving Topshop's latest Christmas campaign starring bb fave Kate Bosworth! And even though her look is set amongst the snow (not very Aussie), 'Winter Wonderland style', we are digging her beauty vibe in a big way - and can definitely see ourselves rocking it come NYE! Here's how to steal it for yourself...

The first thing we noticed about Kate's beauty look, was the berry pout. This colour is super fitting for Christmas and very flattering against the rest of her look which is kepy fairly simple. Try either a berry lip stain or grab a lipstick in a similar shade, like this Savoir Faire Mini Lipstick in Opulence  and apply with your finger. This will allow the colour to smudge into your lips a little better than applying straight from the bullet, plus, it will leave you with a 'lived in' finish like Kates.

Next thing we loved? Her skin. Bosey rocks a barely there base with subtle shimmery highlights like no other. To steal a little of her shine for yourself, mix some liquid illuminator - try MeMeMe Beat the blues Illuminator - into your regular liquid foundation or bb cream. This will help your shimmer to disperse throughout your base evenly and add a warm glow to your complexion. This works best when paired with a light base, rather than a thick and heavy one. If you are a fan of mineral foundations, or a cream foundation from a compact, try dusting over a loose illuminator instead. I love the Inika Mineral Illuminator. 

Lastly, simple but stunning eyes finish the look. Don't be tempted to go too OTT with your own eye makeup either. A bold lip calls for understated eyes (and visa-versa) so stick with a light touch of glimmer on your lids and a hard working mascara.
