This week we take a peek at some of Rachel Taylor's finest moments; both on-screen and beauty-wise!
Wowza! Just look at that face! It belongs to Aussie beauty Rachael Taylor, the talented Tasmanian who is fast rising the ranks as one of our latest, most exemplarary exports to Hollywood.
Having starred in a diverse array of films (sci-fi/action fans will remember her from Transformers, whilst comedic-loving types may remember her as Alex in Any Questions for Ben?) Taylor has done a little something for everyone, even when it comes to the small screen. Grey's Anatomy, the remake of Charlie's Angels and the upcoming 666 Park Avenue have - and no-doubt will continue to - highlight Taylor's acting capabilities, which garnered her a Logies nomination way back in 2006. Something tells us this pretty lady has the chops to garner even more noms over in Tinsletown.
Rachael is also the leading lady of a fave Aussie brand, Bonds. Having appeared as a celebrity ambassador for the creature comforts clothing and underwear brand in many a print ad, Taylor has recently appeared in her first Bond's commercial, not only as the gorgeous looking undie model, but the commerical's director too! She directed the short film for the love of the iconic, comfy jocks, and starred in it alongside another Aussie babe, Todd Lasance. The film portrays a young and in love couple going to the beach and having a swim in their undies - something that Rachael says is 'really Aussie and carefree'. We couldn't agree more! Check it out for yourself to truely get into the spring summer mood!
Stealing a few of Taylor's fine and fresh beauty looks are also guaranteed to help you embrace the new season. Try these out for yourself and see!
Short back and sides and a bronzed smokey eye
Of late, this look has become Rach's signature. If you are on the short side, hair-wise, like Taylor is, a great styling product will be your best friend. USpa's Beehold is tops as a medium hold styling gel perfect for all hair types. Run a little down the sides of your hair, to hold it back behind your ears and then run it through the very tips of your ends for added shine. A good dose of bronze shadow, blended well towards the crease of your eye will also help your peepers look a lot like Rachael's. We love Glamorous Minerals Mineral Eye Shadow in Inka Gold for its hypoallergenic properties. A touch of colour blush on your cheeks will finish off the look. Another mineral wonder is Inika's Mineral Blusher in Peachy Keen. The bright colour in the pot melts beautifully into skin for a natural-looking glow.
Classically glam
Rachel gets a touch of the Amber Heard's with this stunning Old Hollywood glam look. Retro curls, a dewy complexion and a tad of smudged liner make this look oh-so-awesome. If you choose to curl your hair like this, be sure to keep it in good condition with a hard working serum to prevent split ends caused from heat styling. The bb ladies are all big fans of Royal Moroccan's Serum Treatment, containing real Argan Oil. Smooth over the ends of hair whilst damp, before blowdrying, for best results! Next that skin. A dewy complexion needs a little illuminiser to get it glowing. A great tip is to mix a touch of a liquid formula into your liquid foundation and blend together before applying. This will evenly distribute the shimmer all over your skin for a total glow. MeMeMe's Beat the Blues Illuminator does the trick. Finally, get your mitts on a creamy pencil liner, that's easy to smduge. My all time fave is the Eye of Horus Smokey Eye Pencil.
Tip top with a touch of red
This is probably my favourite of Rach's looks. Her pop red lip works perfectly to glam up the casual cute style of her hair in a top knot. For a similar colour, look for the Savoir Faire Lipstick in Risque, a bright and bold red that suits a slew of skintones. Another winner SF product is the Savoir Faire Concealer and Finishing Powder. This little duo work to cover up blemishes and under eye dark circles - exactly what you need to do to get a flawless base like Rach's above. The finishing touch? A good few coats of a defining mascara. Our current fave is the Australis Lash TLC Condition Mascara which lengthens and curls and also contains Vitamins E and B5 for protection and nourishment.
