This week's Fab Face belongs to the stunning Aussie sensation Rose Byrne. She wore her signature sweet and feminine look to the G'Day USA Gala on Monday - and stole the 'cats pajamas' award in her sleepwear inspired DVF ensemble. But it's beauty we love here at bb, so here's how to get her fresh makeup look for yourself!
Rose's cheeks looked positively rosey (just sayin') against her creamy smooth complexion. We are betting she used a cream blush to achieve such a flawlessly blended flush. Try the Bloom Cream Blush Duo for a similar look. Applying along the cheek bone, in an anglular line, up towards your temple. Then blend, blend, blend! The good thing about a cream blush is that is does sink into skin a lot more naturally than powder or liquid blushes, especially because the heat of your finger tips helps to work the product in. For an extra glow, apply the illuminating shade on top, slightly higher (towards your eye). This will set off the rosey tones of the blush and highlight the best angles of your face.
Rose proves, time and time again, that a classic eye is often the best beauty accessory. Look through almost all red carpet pics of the starlet and you'll see that her penchant for a liquid lined eye with a subtle shimmer shadow is a firm favourite. To try for yourself, start by prepping your lids with a primer, or your concealer, so that your shadow has something extra to stick to. It will also help to cover up any small capilaries that can sometimes show through pale coloured eye makeup. Then reach for a powder shadow in a creamy silver tone. We love the e.l.f Essential Brightening Eye Colour in Drama, which comes with 4 shadow shades (stick to the lighter two) and is only $3.95! Beauty bargain! Then, line your eyes with a black liquid or gel liner. During summer, try a gel formula for an extra long-wearing look, as it's less likely to rub off or run even after a long (and sweaty) day. Try the Glamorous Minerals Gel Eyeliner. Finish with a few swipes of black mascara - skip the falsies this time and keep it truely classic and chic.
A softly, softly approach to the lips is all you need to finish the look. Try a lip tint or balm with a touch of natural colour to tie the look together. The Luk beautifood lip nourishes are a great option and are all natural to boot, which means no added nasties graceing your pout. Try the Tangerine and Vanilla flavour - made with the real deal - for a similar shade to Rose.
And there you have it!
