This week we are featuring not one, not two and not even three faces, but FOUR Fab Faces! And they all belong to the Oscar's beauties that stole the show with their on-trend, yet classically classy beauty looks, proving that sometimes, life after 40 is when you really hit your beauty stride!
Jen looked a dream at the Oscars! We loved her soft, wavy tendrils that framed her face, and her simple yet flawless makeup. The best thing about her look? That lipstick, which is super natural, yet provides just enough of a hint of colour to bring out the rosey tones in her complexion. Try the Savoir Faire Lipstick in Miss You.
Is there anyone as equally classy and talented as Sally Field? I think you'd be hard pressed to find many! I love how Sally wasn't afraid to wear a little eyeshadow and liner either. Often, many women are told to avoid shadows and liners once lines start to appear around the eyes, which shouldn't necessarily be the case! Of course, steer clear of anything too heavy or shimmery, and apply close to the lashline, but don't be afraid of a little sparkle. Why not try the Eye of Horus Charcoal Obsidian Goddess Pencil, instead of regular black? With just a little shimmer pigment, it looks great paired with simple eye makeup and a few swipes of black mascara.
Oh Sandy! Your skin looks ah-mazing! What's your secret? A good illuminisor? I thought so! Personally I am loving the Inika Mineral Illuminisor, which is great to dust over foundation to help it stay in place, as well as adding a little shimmer. It also looks like you've been keeping your base super hydrated with a priming cream? I mean, how else could you get that fresh as a daisy skin complexion? I bet you've got a rich primer like the MeMeMe Seventh Heaven Face Base up your sleeve! Well played Ms. Bullock, well played.
Bombshell alert! Let's all just take a moment to praise Ms.B for looking so darn smokin' hot, and being proud of it - we'd be if we were her! Her makeup look was also pretty chic and simple. The main focus were those beautiful brown peepers, accentuated with a shimmery mushroom toned shadow and a defining mascara. For a similar look, try the creamy, soft shadow from B by Bloom in Sahara Desert, whilst the Napoleon Perdis Mesmer-Eyes Mascara is great for separating and lenghtening lashes.
And there you have it! The fab four over 40 and their classic beauty buys to match. Who was your fave? No matter who you pick, you've got to admit, all these ladies still know how to totally ace their beauty style! - Lauren
