I am going to the Grand Prix today in Melbourne - and there are absolutely some benefits to being around motorsports - the noise not being one of them! But Jenson Button, Seb Vettel, Kimi Räikkönen...those words work...
If you are at a sporting event, you are usually there not just for a great time, but a long time - as those who go simply to support their so-called better halves will know! But let's get it right; if you are going, be gorgeous on the grid - or in fact anywhere outdoorsy!
Here are my Top 4 Tips to get their motors running...
1. Skin Is In
There is nothing worse than seeing someone with over the top makeup at an inappropriate time or place - and during the day, or at any kind of sporting option, this is a bad look as far as I am concerned. Bare is beautiful - with a little embellishment on the original! Nude lips are a great noon choice - with pink flushed cheeks for example, rather than OTT rouging. Try Savoir Faire Lipstick in Back To You, along with MeMeMe blush me! pink to look naturally pretty.
2. Sunstroke is Not An Olympic Sport
Whatever you are going to - please - put on your sunscreen! Not only are you saving face in terms of wrinkles, you are potentially saving your own skin from deadly melanoma. We are fortunate enough in Australia to have an organic sunscreen option - Soleó. It is all natural, and all Aussie made. Make sure you re-apply after 3 hours in the sun - and have it under your foundation to begin with. It is the one thing I think I actually listened to my mother about as a teenager - and I have never regretted it.
3. Body Heat
A great way to get in first under the chequered flag is to soften your skin - with an added shine. I love Sparoma body shimmer - it not only feels amazing, the jasmine fragrance and subtle sparkle give you an outer goddess scent and glow that will guarantee eyes off the grid girls.
4. A Firm Basis
If you are doing a long day, you need to prep your face - and that means primer. I am currently in love with the amazingly well priced MeMeMe Seventh Heaven facebase - it smells brilliant, it does everything it is supposed to, and it is inexpensive. Wow. I use it without foundation to smooth and refine, but you can use it as a true primer under your base or powder to give truly polished skin. I also love Napoléon Perdis Auto Pilot - its revolutionary glide on action means a perfect surface to work your makeup magic with.
