Let’s talk under eye concealers and a simple little trick you can try to ensure perfectly primped peepers. Read on to find out!
Under eye concealers can come in a liquid or cream form and are designed to help hide flaws such as dark circles and redness (some even come with illuminating qualities to help brighten up your eyes) They are especially formulated for use around the eyes, as that area is more sensitive than the rest of the face. However, sometimes under eye concealer can look heavy and cakey when applied on its own – here’s a trick to avoid this. Leigh Campbell, beauty editor from Cosmopolitan Australia, swears by this handy hint!
Squeeze equal amounts of under eye concealer and eye cream on the back of your hand (a small amount will do!) and mix together. Then apply by either patting it under the eyes with your finger or with a concealer brush.
Eye creams typically help with puffiness and fine lines and wrinkles, so combined with the concealing properties of the under eye concealer, it will ensure that your eyes look bright and awake (even when you're feeling the opposite!)
This is not only a great time-saving trick for when you do your makeup in the mornings, the eye cream also thins out the consistency of the concealer for a more natural daytime look. Plus it's always great to incorporate anti-aging products into your skincare regime without diverting too much from your normal routine!
