Spring is all about looking fresh and natural, and the ‘no makeup’, nude look is the perfect style this season. Afterall, if going nude is good enough for Harry, it’s good enough for us!
Replace your foundation with a brightening primer or bb cream for a luminescent glow. Naked eyes are beautiful – skip the liner and just go with lashings of mascara. Did you know nude lipsticks can give the illusion of bigger, plumper lips? Try it out today!
Go nude this spring with bb’s beauty picks below!
You can achieve a fresh face without foundation - here's how! If you're lucky enough to have clear skin, simply smooth on some primer and you're ready to go! Napoleon Perdis' Auto Pilot Pre-Foundation Primer primes and soothes the complexion for a flawless finish. Alternatively, if you would like some natural coverage, a bb cream is the way to go! Our favourite bb cream is erborian's au Ginseng, a 3-in-1 formulation that combines moisturiser, sun protection and foundation.
If you have some problem areas, cover it up with a clever concealer such as Savoir Faire's Concealer and Finishing Powder. Gently pat on the concealer with your finger and dust a light layer of the finishing powder on top for all day wear. There are several different ways to use an illuminator, try mixing it with your primer or bb cream for an all over shimmer or apply it to key areas (such as your brow bone, bridge of your nose and cupids bow) to highlight. MeMeMe's Beat the Blues Illuminator is an easy to use liquid formula blends easily and is available in two shades - Moonbeam (pictured below) and Sunbeam.
Ditch the heavy liner look and let your natural eyes do the talking! Curl your lashes using a quality eyelash curler and add two coats of your favourite mascara. The Eye of Horus Mascara will not only give you Goddess lashes, it is also naturally formulated with plant-based ingredients and waxes (perfect for sensitive eyes!)
Not only is nude lipstick a universally flattering shade, it can also make your lips look bigger and plumper - bonus! For a super pigmented peachy nude, try OCC Lip Tar in 'Interlace' (I also mix this shade with 'Trollop' for a gorgeous light pink - check it out!) For a more sheer nude, Silk Oil of Morocco Lip Gloss in 'Moroccan Desert' is the answer!
Don't let your face have all the nude fun! Nude nail polish is classy and suits any outfit, we recommend Ozotic Nail Polish in #356 Beige. Ozotic's range of nail colours are exceptionally long wearing and have a super glossy finish, not to mention the formula is free from toluene, DBP, formaldehyde and camphor.
