Moving into the hotter days of summer, your hair may be likely to freak out and succumb to the frizz. Thankfully, Senior Brand Consultant Sam has found a few solutions...
This month, we are loving all products that tame an unruly mane! First up? John Frieda's Frizz-Ease Secret Weapon Flawless Finishing Creme, which continues the brand's well-lauded tradition of creating beautifully soft, silky hair, even in the face of damage and split ends (we are looking at you salt water and heat damage!) This cream will be your summer saviour if you are prone to fluff and frizz, like Sam admits she is.
First trying John Frieda it was back in the 90’s, her wild European locks became instantly more managable - no, she didn't always have a killer crop like Ruby Rose! However, when she was the owner of super long locks until recently, it was the cream that suited styling them. The Secret Weapon Finishing Crème gives a beautiful gloss and polish to styled hair like Sam's and is a top notch product to use in between blow dries to keep the ends smooth. How to use it? It's this simple:
1. Dry your hair. Whether it's fresh from the shower, or a few days into your blow dry, this prod is meant for dry locks.
2. Rub a small amount of crème in your palms. Aim for a pea sized amount. Don't go overboard, otherwise your hair can look too heavy and weighed down with product. Start small and build up if needed.
3. Apply the product directly to the under-layers of your hair, staying below the first 1/3 of the lengths of your hair. Follow up by smoothing palms on the top layer of your hair, again, keeping it to the bottom 2/3's of your hair (away from the scalp)
4. Reapply as needed!
Another product we love that works a treat on frizz and flyaway hair is the Royal Moroccan Serum Treatment. This oil is super nourishing and combats frizz by quenching thirsty and dry strands (perfect for balayage lovers) Apply the same as above, but also try adding to the ends of your locks when wet - it will also protect against heat styling when blow drying! Still need convincing? Whitney Port is a fan! Get us her hair NOW!
But perhaps you do have a shorter 'do like Sam's current one (below)? With her newly cropped style, she loves Uspa Beehold. This product is ace for shorter hair as it works to style it (maintaining hold) as well as providing thermal protection and adding nourishment. Apply in a similar style, however feel freer to keep it closer to your scalp - you want to create body and volume - before working up and through the ends to keep frizz at bay!
Do you have long hair or short? Do you battle the frizz? How do you combat it? - Lauren
