Today I review a popular product that's brand new to the bb online store - yay! The NUXE Créme Prodigieuse Nuit, which is formulated with over 92% natural ingredients, is paraben-free, and non comedogenic. Here's my thoughts...
Packaging: I trialed the sachet size sample floating around the bb office (a great way to try the product before committing to the full-size - never discount the value of a sachet!) But the full-sized product comes in a sleek white jar. Minimalist packaging that's oh-so French, just like the brand.
And this French brand is BIG. You may have sampled their Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse dry oil in your past bellaboxes (cult!) which is very new to Australia. We were practically squealing with excitement the minute it hit the bb online store. The reason is; Nuxe is god-like in France and a must-have brand in the European beauty world.
I couldn't walk down one block without seeing NUXE staring back at me on a recent trip to France's neighboring Spain. Each street has at least one pharmacy proudly sitting amongst other 'necessities' like supermercat's (yes - that's how supermarket is spelt in Spain! We should adopt this spelling immediately) and ice-cream stores. All essentials in my book. And the cool thing about pharmacies in Europe is that they are bursting with must-have beauty items, like this here night cream from Nuxe. I was in heaven and came back with bags almost twice the size of those I left with! But I waiting on this cream, knowing it would be waiting for me in-turn back at bb...
Smell: The minute I ripped open the little sachet of Nuxe Nuit cream the scent hit me right away; absolutely amazing! But I'd expect nothing less. All Nuxe products have the lightest floral fragrance that's never too overpowering but just enough awaken your senses and this cream is no different.
Texture/Application: Once dabbed onto skin, the texture is thick and creamy, whilst still being lotion-like. After smoothing into skin, the cream becomes transparent, but still feels thick and ultra nourishing.
I smoothed this on all over my face, avoiding my eyes, right before bed. I don't know about you, but at this time of year my skin needs extra TLC. Nearing the end of winter, it's just about had enough, and can tend to look a little dry and dull if I don't use a good night cream or mask a few times a week.
After a few minutes, the cream had 'sunk in' whilst leaving a smooth, fresh and soft finish on top when I ran my fingers over it. The lovely soothing feeling, combined with the scent made it the perfect relaxation aid before bed. Tip: you can also apply this cream a little more densely as a mask for a few minutes for an intensive cellular renewal. Simply wipe off excess with cotton pads after 10 or so minutes.
Verdict: The NUXE Creme Prodigieuse Nuitpromises to get you 'facial ready for bed... an anti-fatigue hydrating cream that is perfect for an overnight moisture treatment. It repairs stressed skin and combats premature aging while you’re asleep and regenerates cells for a suppler and smoother complexion when you’re awake'. From my experience, this is exactly what it did - and more. It also helped my skin feel soothed and refreshed before bed, after a long day (back) at work, post-holiday. And that is very impressive!
Have you tried this night product from Nuxe? Or perhaps any of their other products? What did you think? Let me know! - Lauren
