This month, we sampled a true bb favourite - WOTNOT facial wipes. But you may have noticed something new... a green sticker instead of a pink one! WOTNOT have welcomed their new wipes for oily/sensitive skin to the range. Whether you found these, or the classic 'pink' WOTNOT wipes, we can pretty much guarantee you'll love them. Why? Because of all of the AMAZING feedback we've received in the past and because of our personal love of these handy wipes ourselves. Here's the full review and wot you need to know...
What are they?: WOTNOT wipes, put simply, are your regular makeup wipes. But then again, there's nothing average about them! Not only are they organic and 100% biodegradable, they are also free from alcohol, chlorine, sulphates, petrochemicals, parabens and artificial fragrances. Sadly, many other wipes aren't - check out this incredible video to see for yourself.
WOTNOT are also passionate about what goes IN to your wipes, not just what stays out of them. "Here at WOTNOT, one of our biggest passions is the ingredients we put into our products, which is why we are completely transparent when it comes to our ingredients listing", hence the tag line, "100% wot’s good and 0% wot’s not" says co-founder Claire. And if that wasn't enough to get our beauty interest piqued, they are also cruelty-free, and as a brand support the Bear Cottage - donating a percentage of all sales to them each year. The Bear Cottage is a one of kind children’s hospice on the Northern Beaches of Sydney that cares for children that have life limiting illnessnes’. Whilst the situation that these families are in is very sad, Bear Cottage is an inspiring and uplifting place to visit and WOTNOT are proud to be a part of everything they have to offer. But for now, let's focus on wot these wipes can offer your skin...
This formula is enriched with all natural ingredients including Australian certified organic aloe vera to lubricate and repair, certified organic sweet almond oil to restore lost moisture and calm itch and inflammation, and certified organic rosehip oil for skin regeneration and moisture re-balancing. The certified organic rosehip oil base is easily absorbed to condition skin, with naturally sourced nutrients like Vitamin E helping to heal, nourish and protect leaving the skin smooth, supple and glowing, not to mention makeup and grime free!
This formula is enriched with all natural ingredients to gently cleanse without irritation, which is why there are no drying alcohols which can stress skin and lead to an overproduction of sebum causing a vicious cycle of oil production, and no petroleum oils which can lead to clogged pores. Certified organic pink grapefruit and petitgrain are included to gently cleanse, and certified organic rosehip and papaya (pawpaw) help keep skin naturally hydrated. Certified organic rosehip oil has been added (just like the regular wipe we know and love) for skin regeneration and moisture re-balancing.
Feel/Texture: Both sets of wipes are incredibly moist - this is the first thing you'll notice when pulling them out of the pack. This means, when you start to rub over your skin, you won't end up with that dry and tugging/pulling feeling. It also means that instead of just helping to swipe away makeup and grime, these wipes will also condition your face. In fact, I often don't even feel the need to splash my face with water post-wipe (like I do with many others, to rid my skin of that oily/slimey feel) nevermind adding in moisturiser. These wipes are often nourishment enough.
Verdict: I've always been a fan of WOTNOT wipes, ever since discovering them through bb. While I've been very loyal to the regular WOTNOT wipes, I've now found a new favourite in the Oily/Sensitive skin wipes. With a little extra oil in my complexion than I'd care for, and the threat of drying - and subsequently oil producing - heating systems kicking into gear around this time of the year, anything extra I can do to help avoid that 3pm sheen is a bonus. And being able to do so without adding an extra step into my routine, but simply switching up my products, I'm over the moon.
That being said, I'll still be carrying the regular wipes with me in my beauty bag though, as they are great for a quick refresh, and are even part of my guilty beauty cheat - swiping off my artistic makeup palette (i.e. the back of my hand) - after every makeup application each day.
Have you tried either of the WOTNOT wipes? What did you think? Don't forget, if you're a bb member and you shop them now in March, you'll qualify for free shipping! Wot are you waiting for? Hope to it and shop the range here. And let me know your thoughts on these amazing wipes by sounding off in the comments below - Lauren
