Listen up dry lipped ladies. There are some new lip products in the Burt’s Bees range that I think you’re going to really enjoy, because I’ve tested them on the ultimate lip guinea pig – myself.
Just a few of my favourite Burt's Bees products!
First of all, have I told you guys how dry my lips are? They are so dry. So so so dry. I'm talking peeling and flaking - I don't think I need to say anything else. I apply lip balm constantly, and have at least five of them in my handbag at any one time. What this also means is that I hardly ever wear lipstick, because it just highlights how dry my lips really are and you can always see the cracks and flakes. If I’m going to wear it I need days of preparation to get my lips in the right condition. This means that any kind of hydrating lip product is always going to be a very welcome addition to my extensive collection.
Burt’s Bees have just released a new lip balm, the Hydrating Lip Balm with Coconut & Pear. Obviously I immediately applied this to my lips the second I had it in my hand. It is really moisturising and hydrating, and it smells like summer. It has gone straight into the handbag to join my regular rotation of balms! They’ve also added two new colours to their Lip Shimmer range, Apricot and Grapefruit. The Lip Shimmers are lightly tinted and contain moisturising ingredients like vitamin E, beeswax and fruit oils. I was really impressed. They feel really hydrating, and there’s just a hint of shimmer and colour. They don’t make my lips look dry, and I felt like I could comfortably wear them all day.
Top Apricot, Bottom Grapefruit
I’ve also been experimenting with the Radiance Eye Cream and Day Cream, which both contain royal jelly. I’m just starting to add more anti-ageing products into my skincare routine, so these are perfect. They don’t irritate my skin in any way, and my makeup applies nicely over the top.
But of course we can’t forget the Burt’s Bees classics, some of which are available in our bellabox store! Burt's Bees products use natural ingredients like beeswax, willow bark, clary sage and a whole range of others.
Intense Hydration Cleanser A perfect cleanser for those who need to add as much hydration as possible to their skin. It contains Clary Sage for a probiotic technology for a soothing and rejuvenating cleanse.
Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream At this time of year our hands get even drier, and your cuticles are going to need a little bit of extra love. This contains sweet almond, coco seed, vitamin E and sunflower oils to keep your cuticles strong and healthy.
Beeswax Lip Balm The most classic of the classics! This is in constant rotation in my handbag, and I love the combination of coconut oils, sunflower oil, vitamins and beeswax.
