The Wet Brush has landed in the bellabox store! Australia, I’ve tried this detangling hair brush and I have a feeling you’re going to like it a lot.
What’s so great about this brush? Well it is designed to be used on wet hair. This is confusing, because we are always taught not to brush wet hair, and that if we MUST then we should use a wide tooth comb. Up until now I have taken this as gospel, so when our brand team told me about The Wet Brush I was a little scared.
Then I read that Kendall Jenner is a fan of The Wet Brush. In fact, she even posted a picture of her brush on Instagram. Considering that Kendall and the rest of her family have access to the most expensive hair and beauty tools, I thought that there had to be something special about this brush.
My hair is long and naturally wavy, and somewhere in between thick and thin. I’m not loyal to any one shampoo and conditioner, and I’ll use anything . When it’s wet I comb it with a wide tooth comb, and then I usually let it dry naturally or blow dry it if I’m feeling fancy. I actually don’t brush it once it’s dry, because otherwise it turns into a massive boofy, frizzy mess and my waves disappear. I just use my fingers to tame it and then style any areas that need more attention with my GHD.
I took home a Wet Brush to test it out myself. Since you can use this brush in the shower, I thought I’d go all the way and really give my hair a good comb. Normally when I use conditioner in my hair I just kind of rub it into wet hair and then let it get to work. My hair is usually pretty tangled, so I’m sure there are some areas that aren’t getting the full nourishment of that conditioner. This time around I used my Wet Brush to comb it right through from my roots to my tips. Oh my god. What have I been missing out on all this time? My hair instantly felt better. After I rinsed the conditioner out it felt so smooth!
After towel drying, my hair was looking pretty tangled. I grabbed my Wet Brush again and brushed through from the roots to the tips. And my tangles instantly disappeared. Normally I have to tug my comb a bit to get it through. But it was almost like this brush made my knots dissolve!
I then let it dry naturally, and it actually stayed tangle free. It looked great once it had dried! It felt really soft, way softer than it normally does. I'm actually completely hooked, and I've now been using The Wet Brush for a few weeks!
So who would The Wet Brush be good for? Anyone who gets really knotty hair and needs to start their grooming process while their hair is wet. Parents who have daughters who get knots and tangles in their hair and have to deal with tantrums while they try to brush out the knots (this was me, so I can relate to those girls). People like me who are afraid of brushing their dry hair but actually need some help removing tangles.
I also think this is a great item to keep in your summer beach bag. The Wet Brush would be amazing to use after swimming in the ocean or the pool. Just remember to give the brush a rinse to prevent any salt or chlorine build up.
The Wet Brush is available in the bellabox store now and retails for $13.95. We've got it in black and pink!
