Travel. I love it. If I won the lotto, I would be on a plane tomorrow traveling the world. Shopping in New York, eating in Rome, lazing on the beach in Formentara. Oh, what a life! Luckily, I have lots of opportunity to travel for work and play, and one of the great things about being a beauty specialist is it’s my job to find new brands. Tough job, but someone’s got to do it, right? The second thing I do when I land in a new country in seek out pharmacies and department stores to sample local beauty wares. The first thing I do is seek out local food and wine, naturally.
This month we are really excited to collaborate with Luxe City Guides, so all of our members receive one in their box, along with cult beauty brands from around the world, and travel necessities. Vanessa, Natalie and I have filled the box with our fave products that will cover you if you are hitting the shops, chilling on the beach or soaking up local culture.
When I travel, I like to pack products that are multi-purpose. It leaves more room in my suitcase for shoe and beauty purchases. Model Co Lip and Cheek Tint is a great travel item, and our cute, made especially for bellabox travel size, should last you a while as you only need the tiniest bit to give your cheeks a gorgeous glow or give you ‘Rosie’ lips.
I am obsessed with Japanese skincare, and we have THREE Japanese brands in the box this month!
Yu-Be Moisturising Skin Cream is one of my favourites, and comes from the cult Japanese brand of the same name. It’s a multi-purpose cream that is medicated (containing glycerin, hyralouronic acid and vitamins), and can be used on the body or as a lip balm. The mini sample that all of our members receive is perfect handbag size, and the full size products (ace for your bathroom cupboard) can be purchased in our online store. I love their moisturising socks; just pop on before you go to bed at night and wake up with soft feet.
Vanessa’s fave Japanese product is Baby Foot and some of you will receive one in your box as your innovative product. I have used a foot peeling mask, and I have to say it is weirdly satisfying - check out a full review over here. Kind of gross, but fun at the same time and your feet really do shed skin like those pictures on the website show. Just make sure you do the mask at least a week before you bare your feet!
Natalie’s Japanese pick is Suigo. She bought this brand on board earlier in the year, and it has been flying out of the store ever since. Some of you have tried their amazing hair products, now you get to experience their beautiful honey soap. Moisturising and smells delicious too!
Another top July pick is theClear Scalp and Hair Therapy. One of the bestselling hair care ranges in Germany and local lovely Miranda Kerr is the ambassador for Australia. A dry scalp is often mistaken for dandruff, and this range works by nourishing the hair from the scalp down. If I have hair like hers, will it mean I can get me an Orlando too?
Even though I've spilled a lot, I'll give you one more, and one of my faves. Furlesse is another US brand that has just landed in Oz, and I am so impressed by this product. The 'Elevens' patch (Furlesse have a range of stick on patches that work to relax the skin and any lines in the process) have made a huge difference to my frown line. They specifically work by retraining the area that you apply the patch on to reduce lines over time. A seriously great product for crow’s feet and frown lines. My mum even asked me if I'd had botox!
So there we have a few more hints and insider info about your July Luxe Travel box! We hope you love the products inside as much as we do. We try everything that goes in each box, so if it is in your box, it’s because we have given that product our tick of approval. Not a member yet? You don't have to miss out. Sign up now over here.
