Some of you may already have had the luck of trying out OP Therapy’s amazing goods in this month's bellabox and today’s Naked Truth takes a closer look at this Australian skincare brand and the benefits of their therapeutic line of products. With winter fast approaching, it's important to take extra special care of your skin as the colder climate can be harsh and drying, especially on elbows and knees. Even though the season for summer dresses and denim shorts is gone, events always have a way of sneaking up on you and you never know when you'll need your pins to be photo-ready! Keep your legs and the rest of your skin soft and smooth with OP Therapy and their amazing exfoliating and moisturising range. Read on for more OP info and for our pick of their products...
Who are OP Therapy?
OP Therapy is the creator of skin and health care therapies that are not only based around beauty but also wellness. Two parent companies form the namesake of the brand – the ‘O’ from Olsson Industries and the ‘P’ from Pacific Sea Salt. Both companies are family run and owned by Charles Olsson, whose daughter Alexandra Olsson developed OP Therapy in line with her passions for natural health via alternative and natural therapies. The two main elements of each company – Emu Oil and Sea Salt - have been combined by Alexandra to create a healing, nourishing and regenerative range that we, here at bbHQ, were extremely excited to get our hands on!
The OP Therapy range
The OP Therapy range consists of skin and body care products whose chief aims are to keep skin feeling refreshed and nourished.
The range of Emu Oil products are equally as impressive, working to smooth, soothe and hydrate the skin. We love their Unscented Body Hydrator, which enhances the outer layers of the skin to retain moisture and penetrate the epidermis without clogging up pores (Another one of our amazing variable products in the April box!)
I am also a huge personal fan of the OP Therapy Hand Creme in crème caramel! I was lucky enough to be gifted this amazing Emu Oil product for Christmas last year – one of the best KK presents in the history of all Kris Kringles! Extremely smooth and creamy, this hand cream smells divine - exactly like its ‘crème caramel’ flavour - so much so, I actually get asked what that amazing smell is after each application. Even by strangers on the train!
Our product pick?
Our product pick here at bbHQ would have to be the OP Summer Glow Pineapple and Papyaya Sea Salt Scrub. The Pineapple and Papyaya extracts aren’t just included for their smell, but instead are utilized for their amazing skin smoothing properties; they remove any dead, flaky skin and boost circulation of blood and lymph, which also helps to reduce cellulite. Winner!
Use weekly at shower/bath time for super soft skin by massaging into particularly dry areas, such as feet, knees and elbows, then rinsing off with warm water. Make sure not to soap up afterwards though, as you will lose all of the benefits of the scrub's nourishing oils, which work to hydrate skin long after you stepped out of the bathroom!
OP Therapy have been featured in multiple editorials, some of which are shown below.
Why we love them?
We recommend using the OP Therapy products in a 1-2 punch – first exfoliating with the Sea Salt scrub products and following up with the creamy moisturising Emu Oil products. Used this way, your skin will be left feeling buffed, smoothed and refreshed as well as soft, nourished and hydrated!
It is a lovely treat to include theraputic products into your at home skincare routine, especially when said products are part of world class spa treatments! Pricing is also very reasonable with the OP Summer Glow Pineapple and Papyaya Sea Salt Scrub coming in at just $19 for 75mls, the same as the Unscented Body Hydrator. Showing our wallets some kindness - just another reason in a long list of why we love the OP Therapy range!
