How dry are your lips? As the president of the dry lips club, I’d like to share with you some of my favourite lip balms!
I generally have at least five lip balms floating around in my bag. These balms are all in my regular rotation, and I apply them throughout the day. If I see someone else applying lip balm I have to apply some to my lips. It’s an addiction.
ChapStick
How can you go past a classic like ChapStick? It moisturises, soothes and prevents dry, chapped lips. Plus it contains SPF 15 which you most definitely need in Australia. Please don’t think that ChapStick is somehow boring. This stuff works. People say “ChapStick” when they just mean lip balm. In our July bellabox we featured the limited edition ChapStick LipKit Collection, which included Strawberry, Classic and Green Apple ChapSticks in the cool tins you see in the image above. ChapStick is available absolutely everywhere, including Coles, Woolworths and Priceline.
Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm
Hello Burt. Thank you for the work you’ve done to my lips. Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm combines coconut oils, sunflower oil, vitamins and beeswax to help nourish, condition, moisturise and give you really hydrated lips. Plus there’s peppermint to give your lips a little refreshing tingle, which I love. Somehow it makes me feel like the lip balm is working.
Designer Brands Lip Butter
Designer Brands lip butter is a luxurious little treatment that is also very reasonably priced at $4.99! It helps moisturise dry, damaged lips and locks in moisture. It’s also great to wear under your lipstick to help give you a beautifully smooth base. We sampled this lip butter in our July bellabox. It comes in Coconut and Mango flavours, and is available from select pharmacies and Price Attack stores.
Hurraw! Lip Balm
Recently referenced by a bb staffer as “the best lip balm ever”, this vegan lip balm is stock in the bellabox store! Hurraw! Balm contains certified organic, cold pressed and centrifuged extracted, nut/seed oils and butters. It’s non-draggy and non-sticky formula glides on easily to give you long lasting hydration. And it smells good enough to eat! Try it in Black Cherry, Chai, Vanilla or Coconut.
Bite Fruit Lip Scrub
If you’ve got seriously flaky lips then you may need to work a little harder to get your pout up to scratch. This is where a lip scrub comes in. It’s grainy enough to remove dead skin and help soften up your lips. Just rub it on with your finger and rinse off. Bite’s Fruit Scrub in Whipped Cherry is a 100% all natural, cherry flavored mousse that is available in the bellabox store! YUM!
