Actually, this product is not new but we just received more stock, so I’m counting it as landed. Goe Oil. Have you ever tried it? If not, you should. This stuff is a winter life saver. Ever since Sarah and I first tried it, we have kept a tube in the office and hand to anyone that’s looking like they need a bit of moisturiser.
Goe Oil is a 100% natural balm made from 28 plant, fruit and flowers oils and butters, and it literally melts onto your skin. It’s a true multipurpose product and you can use it all over your body and as a hair treatment. I use it on my knees and elbows which are kind of scarred due to childhood adventures on my bike - and grown up adventures with wine and stilettos!
Smelling!
This week a box of goodies landed on my desk from cult brand Cowshed in the UK. The smell wafting from said box was heavenly and it drew our bellas to my office like bees to honey.
Cowshed is a gorgeous organic body range originally made for the spa and guest rooms at super posh Babington House in the UK. The Spa was located in the old cowshed, hence the quirky name. The formulas contain herbs from their garden, and they were one of the first brands to specialise in the use of plant oils, proteins, essential fatty acids and vitamins.
The products are heavenly and decadent, and their names are quite cheeky. Knackered Cow for when you’re tired, Grumpy Cow for when you’re not in the best of moods, Horny Cow to, ahem, get you in the mood, and my favourite, Spoilt Cow for lazy days!
Talking About!
The Voice. Who isn’t talking about The Voice? I loved this show and have no idea what I will do with myself on Monday nights now. Whoever knew that Keith Urban was so hot nice? For those of you that read Beauty Desk regularly, you will know that I am a closet bogan, and love all things rock, so naturally Karise was my favourite singer. How could I not love a voice that sounds just like Janis Joplin, the original wild woman of rock? When she belted out Hallelujah, a little tear came to my eye. We wish you the best Karise and look forward to your album!
We are also chatting about the Vogue Online Shopping Night earlier this week. It was great fun for bb to participate in this event. We had lots of visits to our store by Voguers, who were delighted to discover that we have an amazing range of cult brands in our store. We hand pick every single product - tested on bella’s not animals - and we chose the best products from the best ranges from around the globe. Most popular was the Pangea Discovery Kits, which are still 20% off, and when you spend over $50 on the bellabox shop, you will receive a complimentary Pangea Lip Balm too. So go on, treat yourself why don't you?!
For those who entered our Beauty Desk competition last week, thank you for all of your wonderful answers! There were so many scents described and they all sounded fabulous! But there can only be one winner! We chose Peta Benyo who described her fave scent as one that "reminded me of an alpine forrest. Fresh notes of floral and a coolness that resembled the fresh growing moss on the rock cliffs and the pine scent of the trees. Warm notes of wood and spice that brought home the smell of the earth and bark and the spice for the animal feel of the perfume!" That sounds spectacular Peta and we hope you enjoy your samples of some of our fave scents from bb! Email us your postage details at lauren@bellabox.com.au and we will send these to you asap!
We are also yet to hear from Katrina McAndrew who won the Japanese Rose gum and candy. Make sure you email us at lauren@bellabox.com.au with your postage details before next friday's Weekly Wrap up otherwise we will have to do a redraw!
Thanks bellas and have a fantastic Friday and weekend ahead! Be sure to check in next week for your chance to win yet another one of our amazing smelling prizes - what will next week's fragrant prize be? And let us know if you watched the Voice finale? Did you want Karise to win? Will you buy her album?
