Black and brown eyeliners are a staple makeup item for most girls, but some may shy away from colour eyeliner. If you're just dipping your toes into this trend, make sure you read on for fun and easy ways to incorporate coloured eyeliner into your makeup looks!
Coloured eyeliners come in almost every shade imaginable, from matte blue to metallic gold to smoky purple. Brighter shades are perfect for a pop of colour, while darker shades are great to add for smokiness. You can also try matching the coloured eyeliner to the colour of your eyes, or go for the opposite shade for some contrast - it's totally up to you!
Lower Lash Line
Coloured eyeliners are commonly used to line the lower lash line. When you wear this look, it's best to stay away from bold and colourful eyeshadow as it would take the impact away from the coloured eyeliner. That's why coloured eyeliner looks amazing when paired with neutral eyeshadow such as peach and browns (such as the examples above) For a simple way to achieve this eyeshadow look, make sure you check out Lauren's bella's beauty buys article!
Upper Lash Line
Using coloured eyeliner on the upper lash line adds a quirky twist to the traditional dark eyeliner. Simply line your eyes with the coloured eyeliner and flick it at the end to create a wing. You can stop here and just wear the coloured eyeliner on its own with lashings of mascara. Alternatively, you can pair it with black eyeliner to create a 'double liner' effect. Using a black liquid or gel liner, draw the line as close as possible to your lash line, so that the coloured eyeliner peeks out, just above the black liner.
