Have you ever looked at a snap of a celeb walking the red carpet, at a special event or even at a festival and thought, 'I'd really like to master that look!' Same here!
That is why we thought we'd bring you three of our favourite celeb looks of the year so far, and the products you need to recreate them. All for under $55! Now that is a bargain - especially considering many of us will run off to Sportsgirl/Zara/the list goes on, to buy a new top for more than that amount when we have an event coming up and want to look new and fresh. Instead, why not bag yourself some new beauty buys that you can wear over and over again (long after you've relegated said new top into the deep, dark depths of your wardrobe, never to see the light of day again!)
Read on for our translation of Diane's casual cool, Cara's night out on the town and Camilla's elegantly poised looks, so you can make them yours!
Casual Cool: as spotted on Diane Kruger at Coachella
Firstly, grab yourself a light, shimmery cream eyeshadow. We love Glamorous Minerals Mineral Shimmer Eye Dust in Pink Mist $25.95 for its shimmery glow. Then, don't put it on your eyes (just yet) Add a small amount to your moisturiser then a pea sized amount of your normal foundation. Mix together and then apply to your face. This shimmer will act as a lovely illuminator and the component of moisturiser will make your base will be soft, light and sheer - perfect for the casual cool look!
Then get a multi-purpose tint like the MeMeMe Poppy Tint Cheek and Lip Tint $13.95. Swipe a little over the apples of your cheeks and pop some on your lips for a subtle pink glow like Diane's.
Then use a multipurpose balm like PURE by Phytocare Papaya Ointment with Calendula $6.60. Swipe some on your lips (over the tint), add a little to your cheek and brow bones to reflect the light and you will simply glow! Finish with a curl of your eyelashes and a spritz of your favourite fresh scent and you are good to go!
Total look cost = $46.50
Night out on the town: as spotted on Cara Delevingne at a charity gala
Start with your usual foundation, making sure to apply some on your eyelids so that your eyeshadow stays put. Then cover your lids in B by Bloom Col.lecta Eyeshadow in Hudson River $9.95 for the same shade as Cara.
Then grab a great Kohl liner, like the Bourjois Smoky Pencil 72 Dark Purple. Line your eyes, all the way around, including both your waterline and above and below your lashes. Then smudge it so that the dark colour blends in with the deep reds and browns of the Bloom eyeshadow.
Next get your hands on the Yes to Carrots C Me Shine Lip Gloss in Rose Bliss $9.95. Cover your lips in the rosy sheen and even add a little to the tops of your cheek bones to add a warm glow to your complexion.
Elegantly Poised: as seen on Camilla Belle at the Met Gala
Make sure you use a strong coverage foundation for a big night out (without any SPF so that the camera flashes don't reflect back in photos, making you look pale!) Add a little Napoleon Perdis Créme de la Créme Eyeshadow in Quicksilver $35.00 to your foundation for a luminous finish. Then apply all over your lids for a moon-like shimmer.
Once you've done your base and your shadow, apply a pair of Eyelure Ready to Wear 140 $11.95 false lashes for a dramatic look without the fuss! They are also reusable, so you can get multiple wears - bargain!
Finish off your look by adding a swipe of Savoir Faire Mini Lipstick in Opulence $7.50 for some real bang-for-buck glamour!
Total look cost = $54.45
