Next weekend, I'm moving house so you can imagine what I've been doing lately - going through all my belongings, packing a lot of boxes and generally having a huge clean up!
There's no better time than when you move to go through your things and decide what you really do use and what's just taking up space (and therefore shouldn't come into your nice, clean, empty new place!) For me, this doesn't just mean clothes, kitchenware and manchester but also beauty products too! Working at bellabox means I get to try a lot of new things - some I love, some that I don't and all these products can pile up! Read on for my beauty mainstays - the things I wouldn't dream of getting rid of no matter how many times I move.
Skincare
Have a look on the shelf in my shower and you will definitely find Comvita's Brightening Facial Exfoliant. My love for this runs deep - the grainy yet gentle beads exfoliate perfectly, leaving my face radiantly smooth and soft! Next to be packed is Goe Oil - this product has so many uses, no wonder the newly married Queen of All Things Beauty Zoe Foster calls it a 'game changer'! Made from 28 naturally pure plant, fruit and flower oils, I warm Goe Oil between my palms then lightly apply to the ends of my hair, for added moisture, gloss and smoothness. It's also fab as an all over moisturiser after jumping out of the shower and is perfect for applying to dry cuticles before bed! Last but not least is Kosmea's Hydrating Rosewater Mist. I keep this baby in my fridge year round and is perfect for spraying all over my face on hot days - no doubt I'll be needing it next weekend after lugging heavy boxes around!
Hair
One brand which I was introduced to by bb is Terax, and I've since become a huge fan. I love the sweet scent of their Miele Hydrating Shampoo, courtesy of the included honey and elderflower for moisture, and adore the Original Crema Conditioner. Since using these together, I've noticed my hair has become healthier, stronger, shinier and has less flyaways! Another all-time favourite of mine which I have no chance of dumping is Batiste Dry Shampoo. Whether it's after a long day at work when I want to refresh my hair before heading out, or when I've slept in and have no time for a shower in the morning, my handy can of Batiste is always within reach!
Makeup
It's no secret, I love Erborian BB Crème. After previously loving their 3 in 1 formulation in Light, I have now switched to their Hypoallergenic formulation in Light and it's amazing. My pale skin has previously meant finding the ideal foundation colour is very hard (why are they always so orange, much too yellow or way too pink?!) but Erborian BB Crème has solved all my issues. You don't need much - a whole tube lasted me 6 months with every day use - and it's perfect for evening out my skintone and providing a baby-smooth finish. Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tars will also be staying in my makeup bag. These lip colours look deceptively like lipgloss but the finish is bright and opaque and loud so apply carefully! Strumpet and Trollop are currently on high rotation in my current looks! A recent addition to my makeup routine is the MeMeMe Beat the Blues Illuminator in Sunbeam. Applied high on the cheeks and under my brow bone, it's perfect for giving me a radiant glow, à la the Victoria's Secret Angels!
So there we have it, my top beauty picks which will come with me to my new house next weekend! It's always great to have a cleanout isn't it - maybe you could have one this weekend! What beauty products would you never dream of leaving behind? Let me know! - Bridget
