What should you wear to the gym? It’s the age old question, and one I am more than happy to answer this month as part of our Sport Your Style theme!
Sure you could go in your leggings and a t-shirt… but gym clothes are so cute these days! Plus if you’re a little bit intimidated by the whole gym experience, looking the part often helps you feel like you fit in.
I’ve got a few ideas to get you ready for spring!
Bright and colourful is a big trend in gym wear. Try colourblocking, or go for some patterned leggings. Colour makes you run faster, right?
Maybe you’re more about performance gear? A pair of 2XU compression pants are the way to go, and they can be paired with absolutely any t-shirt or tank that you’ve got in your wardrobe.
You need a good sports bra. Even if you think you don’t – you do. I promise. You need something supportive, and a regular bra just won’t be comfortable.
You need good runners. Can I suggest Mizuno? They are seriously supportive, particularly if you have weak ankles like me!
Do you prefer a street look? There are plenty of printed tees and patterned hoodies to make you feel comfortable.
What about accessories? You’ll need a towel and a bag for the gym – more excuses for shopping!
