Yu-be

It was 1957 when a young pharmacist named Yoshikiyo Nowatari first introduced his now famous moisturizing cream to Japan. Invented at the request of a woman long-suffering from dry, cracked skin and tired of using petroleum-based skin care products that she found to be greasy, messy and ineffective. So, he created a glycerin-based moisturizer that would go on to be one of the longest-selling skin care products in Japan and the #1 selling medicated, vitamin-enriched cream on the market.
Why we love Yu-Be
Yu-Be was developed in Japan over 50 years ago by Yoshikiyo Nowatari for a young woman who suffered terribly dry and cracked skin. He marketed it as medicated so people would know it wasn’t an anti aging product, but to use on tough dry skin. Since then it has become the product that every Japanse household has, boarding school dormitory headmistresses teach their students to care for their skin using Yu-Be. You can even order it along with your school supplies! I was given a tube of this cream a couple of years ago, and loved the smell and the texture, as well as the cute packaging. Sayonara dry skin, as they say at Yu-Be!
